question about wet FIP?

also i keep reading and hearing he may have had wet FIP but is it still a possibility if both of his parents were strictly indoor cats?

sorry please dont get sick of me its just this group is so great and i am searchign for answers

Heya

Yes, he could've had FIP. Coronavirus It's very very common in cats and even more so when there are a lot of cats together, like at the breeders or a cattery, so it's not unlikely that either or both parents could've had coronavirus and shown no symptoms, or very little that it was never diagnosed. It is spread through poop or things like grooming each other and that's why many cats together make it spread more. Coronavirus can mutate into FIP and that is commonly fatal. My own cat used to live with 5 other cats, strictly indoor cats only and one of the other cats died of FIP. He very quickly went downhill, within a few days, poor mite. There is pretty much nothing you can do, other than make the last days more comfortable. Reading your other post, I think that you can rest knowing you did what you could and couldn't have shown your kitten any more love than you did.
