I joined today so I'm kind of asking all the things I'm wondering about in one go Hope that's okay.
Anyway, I feed my seven month old kitten about ~150g of wet food a day (either two small Fancy Feast cans or one small Felix can - I think it's roughly 150 or 160g, I'm at work so I can't check) and leave out dry food for her to graze on. She usually doesn't eat all that, I usually end up throwing some out.
She's always been a skinny cat, and she's never been that interested in treats. It's crazy to me because my cats in the past have always been obsessed with food and we've always had to watch their weight. She eats her fill and comes back throughout the day, but she won't eat more.
So what can I do to help her gain weight? Since she was spayed the other day she's looking even skinnier (understandable I guess if you had internal organs ripped out...) and I know cats often gain weight after spaying if you don't change their diet, but I'd really like to do something more! After there any foods I can supplement her diet with that will help her put on more weight? Giving her more food just doesn't work as she won't eat it.
She is a happy little cat. Growing bigger (she has crazy long legs! I think that's where all her body fat goes haha) but not fatter, active, playful, curious, affectionate...everything you expect a seven month old to be, just too skinny.

I posted here earlier about the trouble I have finding kitten-specific wet food for her...she gets dry kitten food but the Fancy Feast or Felix cans that say suitable for growing and adult cats are as close as I can find, and I've been to a lot of supermarkets and pet shops.
