Wednesday's Question of the Day: perfect day?

Hello friends!
 

Lou Reed (may he rest in peace) had a song called "Perfect Day," so I'm dedicating today's QOTD to him.

Please describe your perfect day; either a real one that happened or the setting for what would be the perfect way to spend your day.

For me, it is snowing outside, school and work have been cancelled so everyone is home. We have a fire in the fireplace, and a delicious dinner is simmering on the stove (or roasting in the oven). 

I sure hope it snows this year!   

Monday morning was pretty nice: I took off from work and got to spend time with Ritz. Watched with her the early morning (4 a.m.) activities out of the patio door. No agenda, just wanted be with her. Around 7 a.m. after I did my chores and pt exercises, I sat on the sofa and she immediately jumped up on my lap; we both snoozed. Around 8:30 a.m. I kind of said to her, I have to be going to run some earrands, lifted her gently off my lap and set her down next to me. She does this little "meow" and gets right back on my lap. So I guess I'm not going any time soon....

My perfect day would be a sunny & warm 75°, when I would take my little trail scooter for a ride someplace scenic, & capture lots of great nature shots on my smartphone to print later. Then I'd take my son out to our favorite Japanese food at the mall, & split one of their great shrimp & teriyaki beef dinners.... mmmm

Good thread! I think for me it would be snorkeling in Belize or Galapagos again, or the Great Barrier Reef of Australia.

perfect day would be camping out somewhere.. anywhere with lots of nature. I'd be lying in a hammock with soft music playing, watching the sun shine through the trees above.

Anyhoo.  Perfect day?  I can think of several but maybe a favorite would be out on a ship cruising, sitting on the cabin balcony with my hunny, having a beverage of some sort, maybe a snack too and quietly watching the sunset.  

sleeping all day .waking up to just get a quick bite,pee and return to bed !

We are going into winter around here now, so my perfect winter day would be with the snow gently flying around outside. Rick and I are both at safe and warm at home. I'm in the kitchen, having just finished making a big pan of sticky buns and there's a pan of hot cocoa simmering on the stove. The kitchen is warm and I can smell the cinnamon coming through the oven vent. Ding! There goes the oven timer! The sticky buns are hot and soft and sticky. And ready to eat. And life is good.

And the next day? All the snow has melted and it's 70 degrees again. 

My perfect day is a day with just a bit of a chill in the air. I would be on my screen porch with a quilt and a cup of gourmet coffee. I would have a good book to read. My cats would be on the porch with me. I would fall asleep wrapped in the quilt. When I wake up, it would be with a cat beside me and one on top of me. It happens quite a bit. :lol3:
