My molly Violet cut her pad on one of her back paws. I noticed it when i went to check her nails and trim them. She licks it every few minutes for a second or two and the edge of the cut is turning white. Her paws are usually black. It isn't bleeding.

Vet visit or clean and bandage? Or am i just overeacting?

Thanks in advance

No, I don't think you're overreacting! Normally paw cuts are a devil to help heal - we had a dog who cut it's paw a few times and there was little we could do to help as it wasn't large enough for a stitch. Anyway, there's two things that you say that make me think it's worth a trip to the vet.. The first is the fact that Violet is licking it every few mins which means it's bothering her. It could be painful. The second is that the edge is turning white. This could be dead skin, or signs of an infection, esp if the white is puss and again, would probably be best looked at.  Good luck Violet!
