Lasy year I found a cat that was in my back yard. She was a mess. When I saw her I went outside to give some cat food. You could tell she was in a home before since she came right to me when I put the food down. The poor thing  a rack of bones, missing half her fur due to mange and fleas with the tips of her ears oozing from infection. The worst part was when she looked up at me and one of her eyes was twice the size it should have been and was  blind in that eye. With medications,a few dips, good food and in the safety of a home she bounced back pretty quickly. She had surgery to remove to bad eye. That was over a year ago and healed very well. Today I noticed that the area from where the eye was removed from is very swollen. Since she is never outside another animal or tree branch could not be at fault. If it ia infection why would it happens so longer after her eye was removed. Has anyone had anything like this happen before.

Hello, I'm so sorry to hear your cat is again going through a rough time. I have no experience with anything like this, but she needs to get to the vet. I have heard of dental issues being a cause of something similar. Hope this will be easily remedied. Sending you both
it's not serious.

I'm not familiar with something like this either.  I think a Vet visit is definitely in order.  I honestly doubt it is directly related to the eye removal, since that was a year ago.  Hope it isn't any serious

I agree with the others.  I've never experienced anything like this either, but think a vet visit would definitely be in order.
