Hi,

I have an 11 year old  Chinchilla  cat. He just sits there in the place where he usually defecates, squeezes himself without a result or at other times the result is small stains. I took him to the vet and he suggested that we should give him an enema until he is fine. We tried the enema and it helped to get the stool out, but he didn't return to his normal behavior. He still won't defecate unless we try the enema several times. He also throws up after squeezing himself.

What should I do ?

Welcome to the forum, there are a lot of friendly and helpful people here!

I'd take your cat back to a vet as it could be a blockage or something else. How long has this been going on for and did your vet do any tests?

Thanks :)

For few week. He didn't do any tests. I'm living in the middle east. Vets aren't that common and their experience can be questioned . That's why I'm asking here to see if there's anything I can do at home.  What kind of blockage could that be ?

Is your cat on dry food only? I would make sure your only giving canned good and add a little water to it and if you are able to get some Miralax put that in the food twice a day. My cat has constipation issues and I have to give her Miralax twice a day in canned food. She will not drink water so I add some water to her food also. This has worked for us but sometimes she still gets backed up and has to go get an enema but they have been months apart. Good luck!
