There's a new baby in my house and with that comes having to pick out a name. I'm having a heck of a time trying to pick one out. I like different names, names with good meanings, Scottish/Celtic names, names associated with famous/notorious people. Also like names like Salem... I've already been told it sounds evil lol. But I'm wiccan. No haters. I'm open to suggestions. :cat:

This is HER:

"Kianga". It means "sunshine". African origin, not Welsh, but... so appropriate for a little orange girl!

Shanti. It means peace, tranquility and all the words that go with it.

She's adorable
If she were mine, since it's Halloween & she's orange, I'd name her Pumpkin

I thought about it but a friend has a cat named pumpkin AND when I think about a name I think about calling them...... here pumpkin pumpkin pumpkin lol sounds stupid but I have a hard time wrapping my tongue around that word more than once consecutively lol. However! I do love the Halloween themed name idea. Got any other ideas?

I knew someone when I was a child who called her cat passover!

l've only ever had 2 orange cats. One was called Enid (l know, don't ask, lol), and the other was called Opie, short for O.P. or Orange Puss.

Some names I've heard for orange tabby females...

Sunrise
Sunshine
Caramel
Caramello
Mango
Marmalade

I like Ginger and Taffy (although I love the play on words of "Carat" instead of "Carrot" and the slogan that goes with it!)

First that came to mind was Tully.

For one thing, it is the name of a prominant noble House in the Game of Thrones/ASOIAF novels and series. The members of that line are known to have auburn or red hair. Also, in our real life, it is an Irish name.

To stick to the GoT theme.....Melisandre. She is a character who has red hair, dresses in red and is a priestess.http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/melisandre

Otherwise, I've known people naming their orange cats Cinnamon!

Altogether though, she is a cutie pie! Best of luck with the name hunting.
