Oh yes. Beatrice was born at 2:18 am on a Sat. and they went home the following Monday afternoon. I plan on going there next week to take my Grandson to pre-school as her partner has to go back. She still needs help and shouldn't be lifting anything heavier than baby Beatrice.
*partner has to go back to work*

Shorthand for "vaginal birth after cesarean."

I've had 2 and still did not experience anywhere near the "pain free" labor I've heard some people talk about.  But it is becoming more common for women to seek a completely natural childbirth.  It seems to vary depending on where you live in the world.  Women have different reasons for choosing to skip the pain medications; its become a very personal decision.
I was lucky I suppose. My labours were too short for an epidural had we had anything like that in the good old days but if I was having a baby now damn right I'd have an epidural. I have a very low pain tolerance.

Ok. I don't understand. Isn't that a normal birth? What makes her doctor supportive? It's a long time since I had my babies and my daughter and DiL had normal births.
Some doctors like to tell women that they can't have a normal birth after having one c-section, that they will need to have a c-section for all births after that. But most women can have a normal birth after a c-section if they want. But it can be hard to find a doctor who will support that decision. Doctors nowadays seem rather attached to c-sections and inducing (which frequently leads to a c-section) :/.

I have 1 granddaughter and 5 grandsons! My DiL is pregnant. She will be 42 when she has the baby which is a GIRL. Yay.
Of course we'd love the boy and please God she will be healthy but I know mum and I'm sure dad is happy to have another little girl . I'm already looking at baby clothes and seeing how much nappies - diapers - are. Wonder what they'll call her. Maybe miriam after my mum! No way would they call her that. To old and they'll steer clear of bible names.
Mostly the very religious use the bible.

The only reason you can't try to have a natural birth after c-section is if you have a classical incision. I haven't heard of a doctor allowing that because it comes with a lot of risks. Classical incisions are much more common with premature births.

Because they don't want to do any damage to themself "down there". They can have a c-section and have someone else take care of the baby while they are recovering. C-section recovery is not easy. It's very painful, it hurts like
to move, walk, cough, turn over in bed...etc.

I'm so excited. I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it. Or words to that effect.

But I thought that myth had been debunked ages ago.

Damage themselves down there.I've never heard anything so ridiculous. Not
You. Them. They. Could start life sll over again. Ask the doctor to stitch her up tight. Do a goblen - tapestry. It's an old joke here where I live. There was a craze and people were making tapestries left right and centre.

I know, it's ridiculous. C-sections are major surgery and very painful and the recovery sucks. Of course, in situations where it is needed then I understand getting one.
