Monday DT

Hey!! No one started this thread? How was everyone's weekend and what is going on today?

Well our wireless service is over since it interferes with our regular computer and it SUCKS big time, unless our cable company sabatoged it just so that it could encourage us to pay them more money to buy their version of wireless service

So I don't have much time to spend on the computer anymore

The weekend was awright, watched a few movies, Down With Love, which was annoying, I liked it but I can not stand Rene Z, I swear it seems as if someone smushed her nose and eyes and face and messed with it like playdough LOL! Otherwise it was okay if I could get pass the way she looked. Watched the Italian Job (drool over Walhberg and the other hotties in it) but waiting to see the ending cuz now hubby wants to see it since I said it was pretty good.

I can't wait to get the MATRIX RELOADED on DVD!!!! I could just keel over with excitement, should get it by Wednesday!

About to make some yummy chicken tikka again. That's about it. Oh in the middle of reading Mystic River which is not a half bad reading thus far.

I had a rotten weekend! I worked 9 hour's Saturday and 13 yesterday.My boss quit and I am the head housekepper now w/ 2 people short!!And we had 60 out of 61 room's rented!And next week we are booked full for 6 day's. Anyonee need a housekeeping job?

Weekend was blah. Bank decided to take its time accepting a deposit, which should have gone through on Friday, so we had $20 to get through the weekend.

And of course, today is Columbus Day, so the banks are closed...no access to money til sometime tomorrow. Grr. Fortunately, we bought cat food laast week and we also have stuff in the freezer we can cook.

Lets see, I was expecting a BIG jar of vegemite to arrive via UPS today. I followed through all the tracking, etc. Then my hubby saw the UPS truck leave as he was coming home for lunch. I didnt get my bloody vegemite. I checked the tracking and it said that they couldnt find the address. So I had to call them and tell them how to find me. *groan*

I have put the rice in the steamer as it takes an hour to cook and then we will have thai peanut stirfry for dinner - gotta have it early as we have volleyball games tonight.
I jsut went outside and came across the most disgusting thing - there were hundreds of bugs all around my door - they look like ants with wings! *shudder* I just spent a good time cleaning it up. Now I feel all itchy!

Sherral!!!! That bites big time!!! I swear housekeeping is the most underappreciated job ever! Next to construction.

What the heck is this bloody vegemite that I keep hearing you and Sam talking about? Do you eat it out the jar or mix it with something or cook it with something? Now I tried that bar you guys are famous for, forgot the name, comes in a purple package, that was good, but it's not too popular here so I have to get it at the bookstore where they sell hippie stuff like that.

Most people don't like though, it like you either have to be raised on it, or have an acquired taste for it..

Ken - if you want to order vegemite, I got it from www.simplyoz.com - it is based in Washington State. Its not cheap, but its SO worth it - I ordered the 910oz jar to last me a good while.

Slow day at work. It was weird, for a Monday. We are usually swamped.

I freaked everyone out - wore my new suit AND makeup. Noone was sure what to make of that. Don't they understand that I need to get out of my jeans or khakis, now and then?

Bill and I are heating up leftovers for dinner. Neither of us feels like cooking on Mondays.

Yesterday, I ticked Buddy off. I decided to mop the kitchen and bathroom floors and moved the food bowl and HIS litterbox. He followed me all over the house, squeaking angrily until the floors were dry and I put everything back in place. He could have just as easily eaten in the family room and used the laundry room box. Just what I need - an anal cat!

my weekend went to fast, i had to work on sat. and clean my house and my moms house on sunday, i did get to watch some of the browns beat Oakland yah! exciting weekend huh, today i worked and on my way home a wreck had just happened and i had to sit in traffic on a highway for 2 hrs. i was about to lose it, it was a 2 car crash head on, one man from north carolina was air lifted to the hospital and 3 others were taken to local hospitals, so when i got home at 5 20 i had to hurry and catch this little female stray that is staying around my house to take her to my vet. she is going to spay her tomorrow, i didnt think i was going to make it, but i did, i had never picked this cat up before, i had petted her but thats it, so i grabed her by the back of the neck and said a prayer and in the carrier she went no kittens from her now, so i finally got back home at 7 30 whewww im tired... thats my day, not bad for a monday!

Those sound like they might be boxelder(sp?) bugs. You never see just ONE boxelder bug either...there's ALWAYS at least 100 more!!! Those bugs and those Japanese beetles are such a NUISANCE this time of year!

Lorie - they were disgusting! I hope I never see them again! *shudders*
