Hey guys.
So I've been all over the site recently. Hope I'm not driving anyone crazy yet! But I've got just one more thing to share with everyone.
I posted that I was fostering two polydactyl sisters, Jynx and Tabitha. Jynx was adopted last weekend, and I think I've talked myself into keeping Tabitha. When she came to us a month and a half ago, she was the most wild, skittish, stressed-out creature. She growled at my cats, wouldn't let us go near her, and ran to a hiding place at any sound. Well, after some weeks of plain old TLC, she's completely come around. She comes when I call her (all of my cats did that as kittens, I'm such a sucker for it), and though she appreciates attention from other humans, I can tell I'm her favorite (or maybe it's all in my head). Either way, I want to give t his cat all the love that's in my heart. I grew up with a female mackeral tabby (she is still with my mother) and I have to say I miss having a female cat around. Tabitha reminds me so much of the cat I grew up with....I just can't give her up, I can't. I feel like we have kindred spirits. I can't imagine her being more comfortable in someone else's home. The thought of her bonding to someone else fills me with jealousy and sadness (I'm a selfish crazy cat lady, that I am). Not to mention, after her sister was adopted, she's come to me more and more for attention and love.
On the one hand, I'm more than happy to welcome Tabitha as a permanent part of my life, but on the other hand...this does NOT bode well if I plan on being a foster mom, ha! This is my third cat in two years, and she was part of the first pair I've fostered!!! I've got four tiny 5 week olds right now that I'm fostering, what happens if I can't give them up either?!?! Arrghhh I wish my house had enough space as my heart does!
Without further ado, I present Tabitha. Newest addition to my cat family. No need to stress any more, little girl, we are going to take care of you.
My what big paws you have! She's got 26 toes total.
Gosh, that face!!! That's Romeo sleeping in the background....
