Hey guys.

So I've been all over the site recently. Hope I'm not driving anyone crazy yet! But I've got just one more thing to share with everyone.

I posted that I was fostering two polydactyl sisters, Jynx and Tabitha. Jynx was adopted last weekend, and I think I've talked myself into keeping Tabitha. When she came to us a month and a half ago, she was the most wild, skittish, stressed-out creature. She growled at my cats, wouldn't let us go near her, and ran to a  hiding place at any sound. Well, after some weeks of plain old TLC, she's completely come around.  She comes when I call her (all of my cats did that as kittens, I'm such a sucker for it), and though she appreciates attention from other humans, I can tell I'm her favorite (or maybe it's all in my head). Either way, I want to give t his cat all the love that's in my heart. I grew up with a female mackeral tabby (she is still with my mother) and I have to say I miss having a female cat around. Tabitha reminds me so much of the cat I grew up with....I just can't give her up, I can't. I feel like we have kindred spirits. I can't imagine her being more comfortable in someone else's home. The thought of her bonding to someone else fills me with jealousy and sadness (I'm a selfish crazy cat lady, that I am). Not to mention, after her sister was adopted, she's come to me more and more for attention and love.

On the one hand, I'm more than happy to welcome Tabitha as a permanent part of my life, but on the other hand...this does NOT bode well if I plan on being a foster mom, ha! This is my third cat in two years, and she was part of the first pair I've fostered!!! I've got four tiny 5 week olds right now that I'm fostering, what happens if I can't give them up either?!?! Arrghhh I wish my house had enough space as my heart does!

Without further ado, I present Tabitha. Newest addition to my cat family. No need to stress any more, little girl, we are going to take care of you.

My what big paws you have! She's got 26 toes total. :D

Gosh, that face!!! That's Romeo sleeping in the background....

Foster failures are the best kinds of failure!

Never a selfish thing to love another living being.

She's a real beauty!

Sometimes you can't fight fate. I believe in soul-mate kitties.  My RB kitty Chynna was mine. I loved that girl more than I can ever express and while she's been gone just over 3 years, there is still a hole in my heart.

I have 3 cats, my oldest now is 16 years, and the 2 youngest are 3 years.  Chynna was 18 1/2 when she went to the rainbow bridge.  I love my 3 babies so much, but Chynna and I had something special that I don't think I'll ever find with another cat.

Tabitha could be your soul-mate kitty. Sounds like you both have connected in a special way.

Thank you, Natalie! I think you are right, sometimes there's just that one special bond. I'm so sorry about Chynna, something that memorable can only be bittersweet to have had and lost. Good thoughts headed your way.

She really is gorgeous.

We have a Tabitha, too, and she's also a little tabby-girl. We brought her inside when she was a wee tiny little baby, a stray found by our neighbors. We brought her inside with the understanding that we would find her a good home. And we did......ours! Almost three years later, she's still here!

So from one Tabitha to another.....welcome, home!

Look at those wonderful paws!!

She's adorable... consider the fact that she's not a failed foster.  She was just your cat, and this is how she found you

She's just beautiful and I can understand your deciding to make her your own. That's why I'm really afraid of fostering --- I still have an application for the Naples Humane Society to volunteer, but I'm so afraid to fill it out as I know I'd want to take them all home!

Thank you everyone. She truly is special and beautiful, and I feel so happy that she found me.
