another vaccination thread

wellington had his first vaccination today, I am a bit upset as he is growling at me and won't let me cuddle him and he is usually really gentle and loving ,

Is this a side effect , he has no gone to hide under the bed upstairs

He may be upset about the vets trip in general. Usually, the vaccinations make cats and bit lethargic, not growly.
He probably just needs some time to get over the stress of going to the vet by hiding and making himself feel secure again.
Be sure to avoid loud noises or anything that may startle him for a day or two and talk softly to him. Some treats may help, too. He'll be back to his lovey little self soon

he is usually cuddly and loves being picked up but he won't let me ,although he is letting me stroke his tummy again, its made me nervous of him now he is huge he is cross maine coon wouldn't like to be on the wrong side of him
