My two kittens are eating maybe 1/3 cup of kibble daily. The bag says they should be eating 1/2-3/4. They are also getting a tad bit of canned in each meal to coat the kibble with. Am I giving them enough? Half the time they dont even finish. I feed 4 times a day, 1 tablespoon of kibble mixed in with a tad of canned equals 1/3 cup over the day

Kittens should have access to as much food and water as they want. I would suggest leaving out dry food for them to have in between their wet meals.

I cannot do that with adult cats in the house who will happily eat any calorie they see....

Sure you can! When we faced this problem, we got a large storage box, cut a hole large enough for kittens to squeeze through, but small enough the adults couldn't get in there.

You do have to cut the hole as far away from the food dish as possible as the older kitties will reach in there to try to get it. :lol3:

Are they microchipped? You can make a feeding station that has a door that opens, programmed to their microchips.

No they arent microchipped. I have no space for a large box other then in the common area and my dog would rip it apart to get to the food anyway. I will just keep feeding them through out the day offering them food. If they eat it and leave some behind they must be getting enough
