So of you may have seen my post about the abondoned very young kitten we took in yesterday. DH just sent a pic, post-bottle feeding:

She's much cuter than that in person--she looks chunkier here!

Look at those whiskers! And those eye whiskers! That girl is going to be a beauty. (Are her eyes OK? Is it the picture that makes her eyes look different?)

(I like your kitchen counter)

Aww, what a little sweetie!  I just read your thread, & had to come see her picture. She is a tiny baby. Bless her little heart, & bless you & your DH for taking her in.

If,.... no, I mean "when"
I win the lottery, I would help out everyone on this site that needed it, for helping save all the kitties they have!

Well, Daddy named her Sarah Jane, but Mommy will also call her by her Halloween name, which is yet to be determined!

DH is so good with her!  We cuddled with her in bed last night--she's a snuggler.

Aw, little sweetie.
Looks like she's padding her fur out a little bit more after five days of chomping her way through those big plate fulls!  Her eyes look a little better in the recent photo.  Must be all that TLC and snuggling she's getting now.  Hope her little life keeps on the up like it has over the past week.  Thank you for taking her in!

She is such a pretty little girl!

I think that photo pretty much sums up our lives this week: hungry kitten, Clavamox, bar of Ivory soap (and scrub brush), water dish!

I washed her one last time yesterday (we started Advantage with the vet's approval, though she's not 8 weeks yet). Her fur is fluffing up.

Her eyes do look better; it's probably the erythromycin ointment.

Question: do you think she will have long/longish fur when she grows up? DH and my friend thinks she will. Also, I can't wait to see what color eyes she will have! They're blue now. I'd be thrilled if she will have green eyes (I love green-eyed cats, especially black cats), but, of course, I think any color will be beautiful on my little girl.

I feel so blessed to have her.  It all worked out so perfectly: Halloween is my favorite holiday; black cats are my favorite color; and she arrived just in time for Halloween and to save her life. My special little trick-or-treat--and I think I got the "treat" part! I really think she would have died if we hadn't gotten her then.

Tomorrow will be 1 week since we got her!

I always think it's hard to tell what a kitten's adult fur is going to be like.  Kittens almsot alwasy look fluffy, I guess they have to keep their mini bodies warm.  Even my super short furred russian boy looked fluffy when he was little!
What ever her fur turns out like she is going to be a stunner, I can't resist back kitties with black paws - always wanted one and never had one..... and her white nose is just perfect.
With you on black with green eyes - there was a back cat with green eyes posted on the Show me your eyes thread earlier and my goodness that cat is lovely!

Hungry kitten is a fabulous kitten and I'm so glad you say she's doing better. Looking forward to hearing what your Halloween name is by the way.

My guess is that she's going to be a shorthair, just from the little bit of her tail I can see in the first picture. The length of fur on the tail is usually a pretty good indicator.
