I had Tinker spayed last Thursday , the wound looks clean and is healing well, Tinker is eating and drinking and using the litter tray properly , the problem is she is drooling a lot and when I stroked her last night I felt like a swelling /lump under skin on her back just below where they inject them near the neck, she isn't in pain when I touch the swelling .

I am waiting for a call back from the vets right now as she has her follow up appointment tomorrow.

I am worried about her I hope this is nothing serious :(

Might just be a reaction to the shot.  See what the vet says!
I am taking her to the vet at 6.20 this evening , will post back how it goes

Just got back form the vet, its the flu virus back again brought on by stress, I have never seen so much mucus on one small cat.

She had an antibiotic injection , but she has a mouth full of ulcers which she has to fight off herself

Please pray for my little rascal she needs to get over this and get well .

Wellington is having his first vaccination tomorrow , Tinker has to wait to get better then have hers, the lump on her neck is not a concern probably a reaction to the injection.

Please pray for them both I just want them well and happy and healthy

Tinker slept all night and is much better this morning the drooling has stopped completely from her mouth she is sneezing a bit and has mucus but nothing like yesterday.

She still hasn't eaten yet but the vet said because of the ulcers in her mouth it will be sore until they start healing, I can phone the vet anytime to take her in for a check up if I am concerned or she continues not to eat, its a vary good practice and they fit appointments in on the day you need them so I am very pleased with the care my rascals are receiving .

Just got back from the vet with Welly he had his first vaccination , while there I asked the vet about tinker as he was the one who did the operation last Thursday , he said she hasn't got cat flu its because she licked the solution which was on her fur after the operation  and that caused her mouth to be sore, he said lots of cats do it and she will be fine , if not eating by tomorrow to take her in and he will see her , but when I got home it put some gravy from her food on her gums and she then ate half a plate of food of which I am so happy now , and also relieved it is not cat flu again :)
