Is it possible to constantly travel with three cats?

Hi all,

I have been fostering 3 orphaned kittens for the past 4 months, and have not been able to find find them homes.

I will soon be travelling for a new job which includes constant travel and at times to not-ideal locations.

I am still not sure if pets will be allowed on mission, but if they are, and if I still don't find them them homes, then I will be be considering the option to take them along.

So any experienced cat travelers around? Any insight is welcomed!!

Oh boy.  I know it's been done but you are going to need a constant in their lives.  Does your car hold a large crate?  That could be there "home base" - the one place that is routine.  Especially if you plan to stay in hotel rooms - the new smells will probably get them upset and one or more may spray to mark, which wouldn't be good, to state it mildly.

Vibes you find homes for them before this.  It will be pretty tricky with one cat, much less three.

Good luck!

Oh. By traveling I mean by plane, and then by organization's vehicles on the field....

I know... it sounds horrible for cats. ..right?

It actually does sound pretty tricky.  I'd hate to try it - the chances of something going wrong are pretty high.  If you do attempt it, make sure you have all the cats spayed/neutered and microchipped.  That way, no chance of kittens/fighting/spraying and it will increase the chances of the cats getting returned to you if they get lost.

They are s/n but we dont have mixrochip services where I live, and the places I will be going to will not be particularly "developed" countries so I am not sure what to expect.

I hate to see them going to that garden...the risks are high there too...

It is interesting to see that the pet shoo close by sells at least 10 cats and kittens a month, and nobody wants to adopt such loving kittens.

Sometimes I feel it is best for them to stay together...
