A little background on my cat she's 4 months old and I adopted her about 3 weeks ago. She's healthy as far as I know the vet has tested her for worms and other problems and she checked out fine. I did get her spayed already and she's about 3 weeks post op.

I'm not quite sure what she ate at the place but I have her on wellness kitten formula in the green bag. she has no problems with the dry food but when it comes to the wet stuff she has very loose stinky stools and had an accident once while playing. I only give her about a quarter of a can a day. I had some of the wellness canned kitten formula but i thought that maybe it was what was disagreeing with her so i bought some fancy feast classics and started feeding her a little of that but still the she has runny smelly poo.. Is it normal for cats to have loose stools when starting out on canned food?

No, it's not normal.  It could be that the dry food is dehydrating, which would firm up the stool.  Here's another thread that is very similar to your and explains that there are other causes for diarrhea other than worms, and you did mention that you are not 100% certain what she was checked for (reading between the lines)

If you can get something from where you adopted her from stating for a fact that she was checked for all the things referenced in the link above, then you might start her on some probiotics and see what happens.  This is the one many of us use for our cats:  http://www.thecatsite.com/products/...h-acidophilus-bifidus-10-billion/reviews/4009    For a 4 month old kitten, I would probably start with 1 4 capsule in the am and 1/4 in the pm, mixed into her wet food.  No matter what, I would give an a good probiotic, just to keep her gut flora healthy.  I think it's just a good habit to get into.  I take them, my hubby takes them, and all out cats take them

It could be coccidia/giardia, which requires specific testing. Another possibility is IBS.

Yes, those two "bugs" are discussed in the thread I referenced.  Hadn't thought about IBD
