Hey guys!

I was at Whole foods today and saw that they recently came out with their own line of cat food(specifically, it hit shelves Oct. 2). I was skeptical at first, as their 5.5 ounce cans were only 99 cents - but after looking over the ingredients, I think it's an amazing deal! I've been looking for a new, affordable, food to add into my rotation to keep costs down, and I think this one hits the nail on the head. They also have a 3 ounce can for 79 cents. Grain free, no corn or wheat, and soy free. I was looking for the ingredients online, but I'm not able to find them - they might be too new? I did find a few articles about the food though

I was able to get to their products page and see one bag of dog food, but I can't seem to find the canned cat foods.

Either way, I think it looks like a good food. If anyone is able to find the ingredients, let me know!

Yeah, there's a Whole Foods across the street, but they're closing in 10 minutes. :>.<

I don't live real close to a Whole Foods but it is doable.  I have just never made the trip because I had always heard they were really high, their nickname is Whole Paycheck.  That is a really good deal though.

There's an ingredient list and guaranteed analysis for the grain-free beef and chicken canned in the below article. I calculate 25% DM carbs, rather high. The source of the carbs is not obvious, at least not to me. The guar gum maybe? Or does dried egg product consist of other ingredients besides egg? The food is also low in calories, 105 calories/can vs. about 160 average, so you'll have to feed more volume.

My impression of the pet foods that Whole Foods carried before they launched their store brand was that it was geared more towards what they thought natural oriented consumers wanted to hear but several brands weren't good choices.

Yeah, that article did get me questioning a few things, but the food still seems pretty good for the price. I may wait a few months for more details about the food to come out before I add it into their regular rotation. Thanks so much for the link Rain! :)
