what brand is not made in china and what ones are?

can you all tell me what brand of pet food isn't and is made in china? thanks

I don't have a long list, but I know the brand I feed, Hound and Gatos, sources their meats in the U.S.

Simply Nourish is made in Thailand, and I think also Soulistic.

where is hound and gatos sold?

They have a store locator on their website, but it was outdated when I used it. From my experience, you have to go to boutique pet stores (preferably holistic), grooming parlors, or order online.

Here is their store locator. Definitely call stores before coming. I spoke directly to the president of Hound and Gatos after calling about 6 stores in my area and coming up empty. He said there was a problem with Southern California, as he had lost a distributor for the area, but he did refer me somewhere.

Oh, another retail type location might be feed and tack stores. My local feed and tack carries chicken, beef, and salmon flavors.

I think that most of the cat foods are NOT technically made in China, based on what I have read. However, even the brands that say made in the USA right on the bag can stiill source ingredients from China and then make the food in their US plant (with the Chinese ingredients). So, it's hard to say what comes from China and what doesn't, unless you call the manufacturer directlty and ask where they source their ingredients from (and trust the answers).
