Hey i just got my 6week old kitten yesterday. He had his last feed from mum around 1pm Yesterday. He eats his kitten Whiskers Meat sachets and he eats Purina kitten bickies i got him last night, Only problem is he makes little noises when he eats like its hurting him. So far he has had two poo's and three wee's.

We have 3 other animals in the house another two cat=one dog. We have to keep him away from the dog because she thinks he(my kitten) is a chew toy and -she wants to eat him. And one of the cats growled him and the other one runs away haha. We have him in our room with us door stays closed and he runs around and has his fun then sleeps. He is toilet trained and has been wormed. He doesn't ever want to be alone or he sits at the door and cries until we come back. I have to take him with me when we go for walks cause im scared the dog will bust my door down and eat him when im not there. He loves his cuddles and he likes to sleep between the pillows when me and my partner are awake or on top of the pillows when me and my partner sleep. And he keeps putting in nails into me or grabs on top me for dear life when i try to give him to someone else for a hold. He has toy food and a kitty tray he loves it here im just major concerned about why he cries when hes eating Help?

Some kittens will make little noises when they eat, it's not crying, to me it's more like an excited chirps.

6 weeks is way to young to have been taken from his mum. Is there a reason he couldn't stay with her longer? Is there anyway he could go back to her until he is a bit older with the promise you are definitely coming back for him? They still have so many things to learn that only mom can teach, cat behavior wise. It is usually recommended that they stay with mom until 12 weeks, but if he could spend even just another month with her it would be better for him, if it's possible.

Mothers owner didn't want them niether did the mother so i grabbed him before he got put to sleep. I've asked if i could feed him maybe giats milk but apparently its bad for them. Some cats like milk but i've just been feeding him water.

Aww poor thing. Thank you for taking him then. KMR milk would be fine for him. It's kitten milk replacement and is often used when kittens need bottle feeding. Should be available in any pet store. Be sure to feed him A LOT. Frequent small meals. He may be making that noise when eating cause he's so hungry. He needs to eat as much as he wants.

When you have to leave him alone in the room, get him a cozy small bed and line it with a t-shirt you have worn (not washed). This will comfort him having your scent to sleep with. You could also offer him a tube sock filled with rice, warmed a bit in the microwave to put in the bed with him. Also a small ticking clock wrapped in a cloth in the bed will simulate his mom's or siblings heartbeats.

If you cant get KMR then Goats milk is better than water and human milk. human milk has too much lactose in it and can give cats upset tummies, and to enrich it even further you could add an egg yolk.

with human milk you mean cow milk, as it is sold for humans.

Goat milk is all right for cats, so TS, whey they said  goat milk isnt good, they probably meant cows milk.

I agree egg yolk in is very nourishing  (if youdont have problems with salomonella in eggs in your country)

When he gets a little older, water should be his main driking. Goat milk or plain youghurt enough if it is occasionally as treat or for some differance, as in this time, he will eats normal wet and or dry cat food.  (canned wet food is usually better .than dry food)
