Hello Everyone,

Here's the story, I have a stray kitten that had shown up a few weeks ago with an eye infection that I was cleaning with salt water. The mommy for whatever reason decided to take the kittens away for a week or so and tonight it showed back up on my door step. The eye infection affects both eyes and is considerably worse in the left eye. It appears as though this little baby is very close to going blind if it has not already. Once I found it again tonight I have since cleaned it's eyes with salt water again and I used a flash light to check the reflection from it's retinas and both eyes are reflecting red although the left eye seems to have a milky film over it. I am extremely short on cash at the moment yet I can't stand the thought of this baby being blind or dying. Does anyone advice for what I can do for this kitten? I will take it to the vet if I absolutely have to but I'm looking to first seek the advice of my fellow cat lovers. Also for reference I have estimated it's age to be around 4-6 weeks.

This kitten needs to be seen by a vet ASAP! Having had a litter of kittens come into the rescue with severe herpes eye infections (conjunctivitis) I don't play around with eyes. One of those kittens lost his eye as a result and another has permanent scaring on hers with vision loss. 3 also have damage to their nasal passages.

This kitten needs antibiotic eye medication (possibly 2 different kinds.) I do not believe that a saline solution will improve the eyes.
