I see the Viralys powder is quite expensive. Compare the price to a 1-lb (454g) jar of NOW brand pure l-lysine powder at Amazon. It is $14.99 and gives 822 doses of 500 mg. At Amazon the 600g jar of Viralys was $76.73.

The dosage of the  NOW powder is one-quarter teaspoon giving 500mg of the pure l-lysine. The Viralys has some additives in it.

Hi, I do also have a 0.6 lb kitten with no energy and appetite... you are saying that "a combination of things" worked for your friend, can you please ask him/her what was this combination that he/she found useful. I am trying to do my best for the kitty however feel so hopeless right now. Thanks.
AW - poor little one. Make sure you check with a vet before giving such a tiny kitten any OTC medication. If you want more kitten support - please start a new thread in the Kitten Forum here http://www.thecatsite.com/f/36/pregnant-cats-and-kitten-care. I hope your teeny one will be alright.

Hi, I have a 0.6 lb kitten with no energy and appetite...
You know perhaps  the trick to try and give weak ones some extra energy, by smearing a little of dextrose (=glucose) on their gum?  If you dont have it and are in a hurry, honey or white Caro syrop works too, although not as instantly.

The idea is to perk them up so they find sthrengh and interest to eat their regular food....

What food are you giving?  If it is kmr, kmr usually does contain some glucose.  Which kmr if it is kmr?

And suitable temp, warm but not too warm.  Both not warm enough, and too warm, takes forces from them.

The weak and sick ones need more warmth then the average kitten / human.  Sick humans are almost always freezing and needs extra clothes, no?

Also, be sure he gets enough with fluids.  Give extra water if so is, or even better, a homemade pedialyte.  (I can give the receipt if wished).

These are all round care advices for weak kittens.   On the specific medicines and dosages I dont know much.

Good luck!

I gave L-lysine to mama cat and babies when she started weaning them. They had tons of energy, and no eye problems.
