My boyfriend started a new job and I am off work the rest of this week to finish recovering from surgery last week (I tried to go back too soon, and it was a bad idea). So he's getting up at 6am, and he gives the boys their canned food before he leaves. I get up a few hours later, and they are just FAMISHED. LOL! They meow and carry on like he didn't feed them, even though he confirmed yesterday when he got home that he most certainly did feed them (and I saw the empty cans in the garbage).

Sorry boys, I'm too smart to fall for it! :p Not to mention, there is always dry food, so if they were THAT hungry, they could have some of that!

busted!  Every now and then my 2 put on a good enough act that I will text DH and work to be sure they were fed.  They always have been!

Isn't it amazing how those kids will lie to you?! We have that here, too. Rick gives them their breakfast while I hit the elliptical in the mornings. But before I go to work, they always get a second breakfast. They're simply starving, you know. Haven't been fed in ages, you know. They're going to simply die of hunger, you know. And they're lying through their fangs, you know!!

Same thing at night. Rick gets home before me, so til I get home, they're finishing up their supper. As soon as I walk up the steps (and sometimes as soon as I walk in the front door), Mollipop is right there, telling me about it. She's soooo hungry, she's starving! How can I even think about sitting down and talking to Dad without feeding her first? And I know she just finished eating! She's a growing kitten, though, so yeah, she (and everybody else, too) gets another supper, only this time it's just a handful of dry kibble.

So they all get two breakfasts and two suppers. And then a good before-bedtime snack, too.

And speaking of growing kittens, Muffin just came back to the computer room.....she's starving. It's been almost fours hours since her after-breakfast breakfast! Time for a snack!
She knows I'll cave....I always do.

My boys want to come live with you! They get a can in the morning and that's it! Dry food is out all the time. They got kinda spoiled right after we got Burlington, he was so skinny that we were giving him about 3 cans (the 5.5 oz cans!) of food a day, and of course Trevor got extra too, although usually just a tablespoon out of Burlington's can because he wasn't actually hungry, he just wanted some since Burlington was getting some. But now Burlington is healthy and has gained weight, so we've got them on the regular feeding schedule. I tell ya though, Burlington can be LOUD when he thinks he's on the brink of starvation! Trevor is more of a "silent begger."
