So I went looking for l-Lysene yesterday because I'm running low, and when I checked the health food store where I sometimes buy cat products, the lady told me they don't have it for cats, but I can buy normal, HUMAN, capsules(500mg) and put it in their food.

Of course being the paranoid cat mother that I am, I question giving cats human medicine, and wanted to check first before buying anything. I'd feel much more comfortable with a product MEANT for cats but I don't know where to buy it

Yes, that is just fine. The capsules would be easy to use. If you have to get them in a pill form then the easiest way to make a powder is to grind them all up together in a coffee bean grinder. You can store the ground up powder in an empty vitamin bottle.

This is the brand I and many others use and we order it right from Amazon. It is for humans too! Already in powder form which makes things much simpler.
