Hello, im new here but have been
Reading and researching on this forum I have a young cat ( think she is about 1 years old ) she was given to me as a unwanted pet my
Cousin took in her mother and asked if I could please take in her daughter, I said yes but to my surprise to found out this beautiful young girl was pregnant I Have no idea how far along she is but she has grown almost double her small size Since we took her in, I have felt and seen the kittens move for just over 2 weeks now and have made a vet appointment for 4 days times to check everything is ok. Since this Is my first litter I was was wondering if anyone can tell how far alone she is and what breed she is I know she is not pure Breed but as I am not aware of the terms can anyone tell me What I would describe her as and any information on caring for kittens and what to Expect would be appreciated thank you :) first photo is a week after we got her..
.
The next ones is off her about 6 weeks later
we have had her for about 7 weeks now and she has gotten a lot bigger sadly I can't take good tummy pictures off her anymore as she has become very protective over her belly :(

Hello and welcome to TCS!

I'm so glad your getting her to a vet. He will be better able to determine how far along she is. Her time may be pretty near. Cats do not have a very long gestation period. Here is a good article to check out. http://www.thecatsite.com/a/pregnancy-and-delivery-in-cats

She is a domestic short hair (breed), tabby (description), and a very pretty girl!

Good luck and keep us posted!

Thank you for replying :) and the information was very helpful, I have made her a nesting box but she does not seem interested in it I have only seen her go in twice and i watch her like a hawk :) she sleeps on my bed and I'm worried she may decided that it's the best place to give birth it is low sitting bed but still worries me, the last couple days she has been digging and trying to get under the blankets witch she has never done. I do have a spare room should I keep her in there with her nesting box, food, water and litter tray ? She does not like being alone so I don't want to stress her out I've never had a pregnant cat so all advice is welcome :) and I will be getting her spayed as soon as possible.

As you have felt the kitten two weeks now, she is prob due any time now, a couple of days perhaps, or even hours...But the exact hour is impossible to predict.

. Soo good you are prepared, both for the experience to see, and also be ready to help if necessary.

Use the time left to try and read on, you can also prob find some you tube films.

Many cats use the nest first in the last moment or even first after delivery.  They dont want to have their nest smelly too early.  Also milk may come quite late, even first after the delivery.

She is surely what Katluver wrote. It doenst matter much you cant take good pics of the tummy. We see she is spotted there. Quite many tabbies are.  Almost more interesting is the upper part, from side. And head and face...
