Hi, just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same two issues together? My cat is not even 3 yet and already has both. Food allergies and struvite stones (the second being new as of a few days ago, the former discovered when he was much younger) make is very hard to come up with a food for him to eat, as he is allergic to chicken. My vet is doing research right now, but hasn't dealt with the two issues together before.

My cat Ohki has food allergies and has had struvite crystals. She couldn't go on the prescription food for the crystals, so I had to crush some kind of medication and mix into canned food with added water.

I feed her homemade raw diet now, and so far she's doing great. I think she was allergic to peas.

Thanks for your response! My cat was very  tiny when he had diarrhea, and my vet had dewormed him several times and he was still having issues. I proposed food allergies, but the vet was still thinking it could be some parasite. I changed my then kitten from food with chicken in it to Duck and Pea food, and within a few days his stool was 100% better! Two years later he seems to be allergic to duck now and he is on Salmon and Green pea.

That's great you can feed your cat raw, and I am glad it is working so well...my cat is extremely picky and won't even eat wet food. :(
