Two of the four cats I took in earlier this year have been integrating well--they've had the run of the house for quite awhile now, but mostly they've hung out together.  When they came to live with us, they were inseparable buddies, 10 year old Molly and 17 year old Travis.

Our sibling cats Rico and Zoe have accepted/tolerated the newcomers, but not really made friends with them.  Ozzy, however, has been a gem.  I've always thought he was the most mellow, loving cat ever but he's proven it true with the new kids.  Here he is with Travis tonight:

And then with Molly when Travis foolishly gave up his place LOL:

The first one looks like Ozzy is trying to strangle Travis with his tail.

Then the second one looks like Ozzy is trying to strangle Travis with his collar when the first method didn't work.

Way to ruin my sentimental moment!

How much more kitty love can one ask for?
I know, it was a sweet little picture.   Despite Fhi09's cynical remarks.....JUST KIDDING, fhi09!  Your response cracked me up.

Another watershed moment, this one ten months in the making.  Zoe was the queen with two other boys in the house, until Molly and Hannah came along.  Zoe was NOT happy about sharing her queendom with other females.  She has been a good kitty and tolerated the newcomers but has not warmed up to them.

Today we had this magic moment.  Sweet!

Zoe, my black kitty, curled up with Molly, one of the 'newbies'.  I wasn't sure I'd ever see this!

We have five out of seven integrated.  The other two who don't get along with ours at least have each other for company and they're buddies so it's all working out.  Can't believe it's been almost a year since we took in these orphaned kitties.
