I have seen a lot of discussions on here about different food ingredients, such as cranberries, potatoes, grains, etc., but never one on blueberries. This seems like a random thing to add to cat food. Does anyone know why my cat's food has blueberries in it or what, if any nutritional value they have?

They're there for their antioxidant properties. They have one of the highest antioxidant properties of all the fruits.

Unfortunately, the simple sugars (fructose) are particularly unhealthy for cats - but blueberries are usually such a small component of the food, I'm not sure they cause any problems. :dk:
