My cat (6 years old, only cat, indoor only) has been sneezing frequently the past three weeks.
The weird thing that happens is that she will sneeze (often a couple of times in a row) and it will bother her - she will jump off the couch, run part way across the floor, etc and then STOP dead in her tracks and wait for a few seconds while 4 or 5 drops of clear, odorless liquid pour out her nose (right nostril only). It is like a very drippy faucet and seems like quite a bit of liquid.
I took her to the vet and she had a blood test with no sign of infection. She had a very slight temperature. She had a polyp grow in her ear 5 years ago that had to be removed, so I suggested one might be growing in her nasal passage, but the vet said that was unlikely as there is no sign of infection and she is not wheezing or breathing abnormally. There has been no sudden change that I can think of in our house that would cause an allergy. She had infected teeth twice (last year and this year) and had had most of her teeth removed, with the exception of the canines at the front and the little teeth in between. There is currently no sign of infected gums.
She is on apo-prednisone as the vet suggested that there may be inflammation. She has been on it for 4 1/2 days now and no improvement. She is still eating well so I am not currently extremely concerned for her well-fare - it is just a very odd thing that won't go away!
