First off, my cat is SUCH a picky eater so it's probably just that, but I wanted to ask just in case.. Today and yesterday she's suddenly started refusing her Friskies Shreds that I just bought in a multipack. This is the one wet food that she will eat. Just wondering if anyone else's cat has been weird with Friskies recently? I don't want to keep pushing it on her in case there's something wrong with the food itself. She gets kibble some of the time (I'm gone a lot and need to leave dry out for her), so she might just be refusing it in hopes of getting kibble instead, but she usually eats her wet food dinner with no problems. There's no recalls or anything but I had to ask, I figure better safe than sorry. She ate some yesterday from the same can and was/is fine, she's just not eating the rest today.

I haven't heard of any issues with Friskies. If she's eating the dry just fine, then I wouldn't be too worried. Maybe just try a different flavor?

One of my cats was always adamant about eating a specific type of kitty treat.  It was a certain brand, certain flavor, and he wouldn't eat anything but that one.  One day out of the blue, he started turning his nose up at them and would just walk away when I tried to give him one.  I tried a different kind and he loved them, so I gave him those for awhile...and once again, a random day came where he decided he didn't like them anymore.  At this point, he won't eat ANY treats, so I've stopped buying them altogether.

Humans get sick of the same thing day after day, so I can't imagine it couldn't apply to cats as well.  Even though you say it's the one wet food she'll eat, you might pick up a couple cans of different brands and see if she's receptive.

I use 5 or 6 different flavors and rotate them so they don't get the same thing two meals in a row. I have had up to 10 different flavors, but some of them weren't liked by any of my ladies.

Thanks everyone! I just wanted to check and be on the safe side. She ended up eating it today, same flavor, so I'm not sure what her deal was yesterday! I think she was just holding out for kibble and hoping I'd take the wet away and give in (which I did, after hours of her not eating). I'm SO glad it wasn't the food, I feel like I'm always hearing about various recalls on here so I'm a little paranoid. I do rotate the flavors, but she won't touch other brands (even the ones she used to be okay with), and she'll only eat the same three or four friskies flavors in rotation so it gets hard to keep her interested. Finicky little thing!
