This started 3 weeks ago, Zeke, my 13 year old cat wouldn't eat drink, or pee. I took him to an E.R. vet that evening , they thought he had some sort of blockage. After they said how much it would cost, I got him into our regular vet who kept him overnight.  They did a pee test and blood work on him, which all came back very good, all positive.

They also just did an x-ray on 10/16, to see what was going on. Now they want to do an ultrasound. As long as he's hydrated he'll pee 3 times a day at least, eats some, and drinks some water. Now since he was hydrated 12/18 he's only peed once and is still eating a minimal amount of food and drinking some water.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong with him? I need some sort of help because I'm very worried about him. He's so sweet and so good.

Thank you,

Nonie

Hello. I'm so sorry your kitty is not well. Unfortunately there is no way for anyone, other then a vet, who could tell you what could be going on. There are just too many things it could be. Did they send his urine out to be cultured? An ultrasound may be your best option at this time.

Sending you and him

Yes, they sent his urine out to be cultured and it came back normal. I'll wait on the ultrasound.

Thank you for your help.

Please, do not wait on the ultrasound.  Have it done as soon as your vet can schedule it.

When problems don't show up on other tests, ultrasound is vitally important for finding out what can be wrong.

Violet,

I have to wait on the ultrasound because the vet. doing it was not working last week. It will be done, this week.

Thank you for your concern.
