Good morning!

We're going to Target tonight and one of the items we're buying is candy for Halloween. Now, we don't get any trick-or-treaters anymore; there are no longer that many small children in our neighborhood really and the ones who do live here don't go out to the neighbors. But dear Richard still needs candy. And he wants Reese's peanut butter cups; we'll bring them home and throw the bag into the freezer. That's his favorite candy.  Me.....I love peanut M & Ms most of the time. But for Halloween, I'd like a bag of Almond Joy bars, please. Because I love the coconut. However, no Almond Joys for me right now.

I know we ask this question every year. But we have new people, so it's OK.

What's your favorite candy? What is the candy that you buy, hoping that nobody will show up to take it?

There's a tie for my favorite candy: Werther's Originals and Haribo gummi bears. :D

I love Mounds, and York Patties. I don't have to worry my husband taking it cause he doesn;t eat chocolate.

But if my grandkids show up they will take it for sure.

I had to look at this question of the day.. now I'll be craving candy!

I'm not buying candy this year for Halloween. No one ever shows up.. if they do, I have some small bags of pretzels to give.

We used to buy different types of chocolate, but my husband is allergic to dairy, and we just found out this past summer that our teen daughter is allergic, also. That rules out pretty much all chocolates, and neither of them like gummy things, jellybeans, or hard candies. I avoid refined sugar so I don't want any of it.

At Costco I found a big bag of individually wrapped dark chocolate pieces that do not have any dairy (even dark chocolates usually have milk ingredients, go figure). I'm going to be using that if we have any trick-or-treaters (probably not though). I'm also going to put those chocolates in daughter's advent calendar since it's a cloth one we use every year, and it has little pockets for each day.

Christmas stockings are going to be expensive this year! Usually I can fill them 2/3 with chocolates but this year it's going to have to be mostly all "stuff" which costs a lot more than candy.

My DH loves his Reeses Peanut Butter cups.  I do too; but there isn't much candy I don't like so it's hard to pick a true favorite.  It all depends on my mood.  I do love and hate to share German Raspberries and Jelly Belly Jelly beans.

Thanks to this thread I just found a website dedicated to selling candy.  Now I'm going to go check prices...if they have the "vintage" stuff I bet that would make nice stocking suffers!!  Or perhaps Secret Santa gifts!?

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! Unfortunately there are very few places here that sell them, and you can't get the bags of small individually wrapped ones. I'll pick up some mini Snickers, Milky Way and KitKat bars in case we get Trick or Treaters this year. I rather doubt it, but I can always get rid of the candy at school if we don't eat it.

I'm not a real big candy eater - would much rather have potato chips.

But if I had to choose I guess it would be Hershey kisses. Definitely nothing that contains nuts. Oh and maybe chocolate covered cherries. That's about it as far as candy goes.

I love just plain Hershey's chocolate bars or the nuggets. The variety bag of mini bars is good to get for Halloween because kids don't like the dark chocolate ones...but I do :) It's a win-win situation.

I'm not really a candy person but I'd have to say sweetarts are my favorite. I also really like dark chocolate.

Let's see...

-Nerds
-Cinnamon hearts, Hot Tamales...I love cinnamon!
-Mints
-Gummies

I'm less of a chocolate eater, but I do enjoy any Laura Secord brand (Or any really nice quality chocolate), and for the fun stuff I like Kitkat, Crunchie and Coffee Crisp.

For Halloween, mainly just get the candy for myself. Don't get any Trick or Treater's around her either
countryside afterall. But if I were to buy for them, it would be similar items, or anything that I would hope they would enjoy and find interesting/unique.
