It's not even Halloween. But Harbor Freight has their Black Friday ads ready to go.

We do Black Friday and have been for the last several years. Yeah, it's crazy and ridiculous and busy and crowded. And Rick and I have a blast. We get up early, go out and shop, have a good breakfast, and then come back home and crash. And our shopping for the kids is usually done on Black Friday.

So many stores are open on Thanksgiving day now.  I heard on the news that Macy's is going to be open on Thanksgiving for the first time.  That means the other mall stores will probably follow suit.

There is no way I could convince my husband to do that. I used to, but the last time I did, I had a car wreck. A lady with some big dogs just couldn't see me and she drove across the road in my path. That cured me of wanting to drive in the traffic on that day.

I have my family over here for Thanksgiving and by Friday I am usually so wiped out that it takes me until the afternoon to recover. They usually don't leave until very late in the evening. The past few years we have actually gone out and driven by some of the store after everyone has left jsut to look at the lines. :lol3:

In the past few years we have gone out occasionally in the afternoon to quieter stores and gotten a few deals.

I got the Macy's and the WalMart ads this morning. Some really good deals, but nothing is "calling" to me yet.
