I'm looking for a dust free cat litter, clumping that doesn't track. I use Worlds Best Clumping; it's great no dust, however each time my black comes out of box looks like he stepped in powder makeup. He doesn't have any poop on them but corn crumbles and sticks to him. I have to wipe his paws every time and it gets everywhere he steps. Maybe need better tracking mat the one looks like grass and brushes his feet?

I use Dr. Elsey's Precious cat litter in the blue bag.  It is unscented.  It does track a little bit, but I use a tracking mat that is similar to astroturf and that really helps.  It is virtually dust free and does well with odor control.  I do scoop every day.

I have been saying for a while that I have to change litters to something less dust producing.  Currently using Scoop Away and it works superbly as a clumping litter but the dust if produces is horrendous.  We have dust that builds up in cabinets across the room and every couple of month everything needs to be emptied and wiped.

The Worlds Best Cat litter is available local and I've thought about trying to integrate that somehow but I'm hesitant since they have used the same little for the last 6+ years.   I also had a very bad experience with a new litter for a pet iguana I had years ago.  The pet shop swore it was going to be a better bedding that what I had and within a week of the cage filled with the new bedding my iguana was dead.. I don't believe it was a coincidence either.  I don't think a cat litter change would be able to carry the same danger but I am worried about the cats rejecting the litter box by making a change, even if gradual.

I can't imagine a litter that won't track some... unless you kitty has hairless paws something is always going to get trapped and tracked out.  I'll deal with cleaning up some litter tracked out as a compromise to having a truly dustless litter..

The only truly dustless litters that I have found are Yesterday's News, FelinePine and the likes. I have not used any corn or wheat based litters except once with one of the rescue kitties...she liked it, but it didn't clump well at. Also, Yesterday's News, etc does not stick to the paws. The down side of this litter is that you cannot scoop urine out, only poop. So, the litter has to be dumped/changed every few days (or everyday as we do.) We mainly use this litter for young kittens, sick cats and when one of the cats has to be crated (after surgery, etc.)

I have tried the "crystal" litter and didn't like it either as is did not clump urine either...it did, however, turn the crystals yellow (something that is stated on the product labeling) but it just seemed unsanitary to me. =\

I use the Tidy Cat litter and have never had a problem like that.  It smells fresh most of the time and they seem to like it.  I tried switching to a different litter once and they didn't like it and it didn't clump as well either.

I've been using Arm & Hammer and I always ended up dumping out all the litter weekly and there was still a horrible odor. I changed the litter daily and would sanitize the entire litter box with water and bleach but Arm & Hammer was HORRIBLE.

I've since switched to Dr. Elsey Precious Cat Litter the one in the blue bag (unscented) this litter is amazing. With regular cleanings I usually don't throw it away I just top it every few days. When I first got this litter Carl would just lay in the litter box and just play around

Here is the video where I got some great tips from:
