My 4y.o. male cat got out and got into a fight on Sunday. He was eating fine and pee/poop regularly until noon today when he vomitted what he ate.

I noticed he feels warmer than usual too, and when I checked, 1 front tooth is slanting/broken (probably frm the fight?). The last time he ate smthing was 12 hours ago.. Im giving him water w/ sugar through syringe for the meantime, coz he's not reacting to even his fav.foods.

It's holiday here tomorrow so the vet clinic's closed. :( The earliest I can take him there is probably Wednesday A.M. In the meantime, I would really appreciate some advice.. Any tips re: the tooth & to help him eat?

(sorry english isnt my first language and im using mobile)

Since you can get him to accept a syringe feeding, you could try making a thin gruel of canned, pate style cat food and water to feed him. Or meat baby food thinned down with water enough to pass through the syringe would work, too. That way there is something a bit more substantial in his belly, if he can hold it down.

That cracked tooth has got to hurt :( I don't have any ideas on how to help with that, hopefully someone will be along who does know. I imagine the best thing to do would be to keep him calm, quiet and hydrated till you can get to the vet.
Why does stuff like this always seem to happen on holidays or at 3am on a Saturday?

Also, try watering down wet food for him to slurp up.  Just add enough until it's the consistency of runny oatmeal.

Thanks for the reply!

Already fed him through syringe. Just a little for now, I hope he keeps it down.. Will feed him again in a couple of hours.

I know, I read that it must be really painful :( My poor baby. He's just resting atm..

Is there a way for you to drop him off tomorrow morning and leave him for the day for the vet to look at him?  He has to be in a lot of pain and he really, really, really needs to get some more nutrition in him.

@stephanietx - We'll go there first thing in the morning! I'm trying to make him feel as comfy as possible, he's sleeping right now.

P.S.
Forgive me for the multiple posts, my internet connection was a bit wonky. Cant delete/edit them.

So a friend of mine recommended a vet that's admitting today and I took my cat there. The tooth fell off on d way there though. the vet examined and gave him antibiotics. They also have bloodwork done.

My cat's confined there since he needed IV. This is the first time he wont be w/ me for a day so I feel sad and paranoid. :(

Good job!  Glad he's at the vet and receiving care.  He'll be home soon and on the road to feeling better before you know it!
