I thought the odor control on wheat scoop was pretty poor. We use feline pine (in a box, not the bag) and the odor control is excellent, but it doesn't clump very well. To help it clump better, I mix in some tidy cats, or nature's miracle or arm and hammer, which ever is on sale at the time. I guess the mix ins kind of defeat the purpose of using an all natural litter, though....
We found Swheat Scoop to be VERY dusty. We use World's Best Cat Litter and love it, so do our kitties. We use the regular formula and add in the lavender formula and the cedar formula. (Not all in the same box, though!)
I had a cat start to eat it! and if you have dogs that can be an issue to. If you have an accepting cat(s) and time try feline pine or horse bedding from tractor supply or some other farm supply store. Start off slow and add it to your current litter(it will mess with scooping ability so may want to do this in a box of non scoop clay along side scoopable litter box) I LOVE that 40 lbs LASTS a LONG time and odor control is great.
Hmm, I thought it smells like a pine forest. You may want to get small bag of the wheat litter as I found that smell more annyoing. It was poop and wheat. More poop then wheat though.
I used it a few months when the cat who ate it died. I had 6 cats or so and was not happy. We did have ant issue at same time but not sure if it was just bad timing or the litter smell. Ants were going up to 2nd story where boxes were. No ants anywhere else and house had AC.
