I watched The Shining on Halloween when I was 13, and I think that will always be the movie I relate to Halloween.

However, any of the old slasher films from the late 70's and early 80's are good. I also think Scream is great!

I used to sit and watch all the horror flicks on TNT and other channels on Halloween, and eat the candy by myself LOL!!! Don't like giving out that sugary stuff to kids, it'll give them cavities

I LOVE The Shining, I saw that when I was young (not that I'm old
)

Friday the 13th 1 & 2
Omen
Exorcist
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (can't wait to see the re-make even though it looks like a t&a type movie?)

Wasn't Bette Midler in "Hocus Pocus"? That's a cute Halloween movie.

The Shining (original and the made for TV movie)
Nightmare on Elm Street (the only slasher flick series with a smart villain)
Trick or Treat (cheesy, I know, but as a former headbanger Sammy Kerr was probably the coolest villain!)

I agree, Hocus Pocus is very cute. I love the black cat!
For scary movies, I have seen few scarier than the original "Halloween" with Jamie Lee Curtis. That one scared the pants off me when I first saw it. That creepy Michael Myers mask....Yikes!

I love Halloween! It is my favorite holiday, and I don't even have kids!
