Hi all!!! I am a mommy to Rue ( 1.5 year old kitty ) and Cleo ( 1 year old kitty ). Rue was recently Dx'd with Asthma.  I have gotten her the mask ( $58 )  and inhalers ( Flovent $225, and Albuterol $48 ) and we are on day 2 of treatment along side the Prednisone we have been using for about 2 months. I have changed over to dust free litter and am planning to have our ducts cleaned out next week. We have mostly hardwood floors ( some carpet upstairs )

Any other suggestions of what I can do to make our house asthma friendly? Anyone know of a Pet Pharmacy or Human that I can get the Flovent cheaper? We are in this for the long haul and if I can save some $$$ that would be great!!! So very happy I found this website and everyone seems amazing!!! Thanks in advance!!! Rue & Cleo's mommy!!!

Hi and welcome to TCS! In general compounding pharmacies have lower prices, but their service can differ greatly from what I have read. Check prices online and google for some reviews. I am not really familiar with the asthma meds. Are there generic versions?

Welcome aboard! I'm afraid I can't offer any advice on your question, but I'm sure someone here will be able to help you!

Not sure if this thread is still relevant, but I have a cat who has been on Flovent with Aerokat chamber for 2+ years now. She loves our Flovent sessions (relaxes and purrs contentedly in my lap!!). If you have any questions about this, then I can probably offer some advice etc.
