Tiramisu has been acting constipated since yesterday. He scoots around on his bum and his stool yesterday was hard and dry. This morning, he threw up and didn't eat breakfast; and just now I see that he has what looks like a blister, or pink bubble, on top of his anus. Could that be caused by constipation, or something else?

Should I try giving him some mineral oil?

I don't know about the blister but I do know that constipation can cause nausea and anorexia.   He does need to eat even it means syringe feeding.  The only thing I have ever given is Miralax but I think that's more of a preventative.  I think he needs to go to the vet.  I have never tried any of the home type remedies like mineral oil.

What is his normal diet?  He may need more moisture in his diet.  You could try adding a little plain pumpkin to his wet food.

I bet if what you are seeing is a "blister" he probably caused it bu scooting on the carpet. I"d get him to the vet and mix some canned pumpkin in with his food.

Hope he feels better;)

His normal diet is raw; I can't get canned pumpkin here and the vet isn't available until Monday.
I can syringe feed him if necessary, but I'm hoping there's some other home remedy to try first. Maybe extra egg yolks?

I just took another look and the little pink blister is gone. I'll bet you were right, Bigperm; it was probably from him scooting around so much.

Would something like squash work instead of pumpkin?

Squash is the same type of food as pumpkin so it would probably do the same thing as the pumpkin.  I have just started a little bit with a cooked diet and I know very little about raw.  That would mean that he is getting enough moisture in his diet, probably better than on canned food.  I know cats on an exclusive dry food diet can have problems with constipation.  I know that the amount of bone in a raw diet can cause constipation but that's the extent of what I know about issues arising from a raw diet.

I suspect the constipation may have been caused by one of three things: either from a handful of dry food I gave them several nights ago when we were short on raw, or from us being out of liver for a week, or from ingesting too much hair (our other kitty has very thick fur and a friend of ours is bringing us a Furminator in a few weeks; hopefully that will help). About the liver, we can't always get that in the grocery store. I try to stock up when I can, but sometimes it's just not available so when we run out, I make up for it the next time we get it. It's never been longer than a week, so in those cases the meals are balanced over a course of two weeks instead of on a daily basis. Not ideal, I know, but better than the alternatives.

I will pick up some squash as soon as I can. Would cooked chicken and rice help at all?

Plain boiled chicken is considered a bland diet for a cat so you could try that.  Swallowing extra hair can definitely cause constipation.  I have a kitty with probable IBD and is prone to constipation.  He is a short hair but my other cat has longer hair with a thick undercoat.  His IBD is well controlled but he has had mild flares with the constipation the past two springs.  I suspect that they were caused by the extra hair that he is swallowing during shedding season.  I haven't tried the furminator but I do try to keep as much loose hair out of her undercoat as I can with a slicker brush.  I sometimes get two or three handfuls out of her undercoat during shedding season.

I worry about adding more fiber to an already constipated cat. If he can't move the stool, adding more bulk to it may just make the problem worse. I have a 6lb cat who gets constipated and Miralax works great. 12 to 24 hours after a dose she always goes and you can tell how relieved she is. You have to be sure to give extra water, as Miralax can be dehydrating. I mix 1/2 tsp into about 2 Tbsp water till it dissolves and then add half a can of wet food and mix it all together. As she eats, I add more water, usually about three times, till she's done with the food. Works like a charm every time! Miralax pulls water into the colon, so the poop gets softer and easy to pass.
Oh, his poor little bum! I'm glad the blister is gone. When I read the original post, I was wondering if cats can get hemorrhoids :(
