Hello,

I am wondering if I can get some help. I went to the vet this morning because my cat is still coughing (was given antibiotics for a tiny bit of fluid for first visit) and the vet told me that she noticed that my cat has an enlarged heart from that last xray.. His heart sounds fine and so do his lungs. I was referred to a cardiologist and the one week wait is going to drive me crazy? What does an enlarged heart mean? Any experiences would be helpful. He plays and eats fine and is only 2 1/2 years old.

Sorry to hear you're going through this.  It could be a lot of things - some of which might not be that serious.  Until you speak to the cardiologist, try not to fuss about it a lot.  Once you get his or her opinion, you can decide what the next steps are - and they may be a simple as keeping an eye on him.

Welcome to TCS.  Hopefully, others with more experience in the area will chime in soon.
