Yes ma'am! Do you remember my thread about getting two cats from DragonLady? Hallie is the little one year old baby girl with PKD that she asked me to adopt so she'd have a good home. And Jake is coming with her so she'll have less stress.

If you want to see them, go to DragonPass and follow the adult link to the last two kitties, Jake and Hallie.

Hope, you should really think about adopting another Persian. I know it wouldn't replace Stanley but at least maybe it would make it easier for you to heal. Liz has some beauties at the Arizona Persian Rescue right now.

What is PKD? You are SO lucky to be getting one of DragonLady's Persians. I've seen her site, and she has THE most beautiful Persians, and I know they have all come from a truly loving home. Oh I wish I could have one of them myself.

It's Polycystic Kidney disease. AS they get older they develop kidney disease and eventually kidney failure. They lead pretty normal lives though and can live for many years with good diet, love and of course, prayer!

I'm very excited to be getting these 2 babies!

I wonder if I should worry about PKD, with my Snoopy who is 18? Every illness I read about, I worry about Snoopy having it or getting it, because he's so old.

PKD is more prevelant in Persian's but can happen to any breed. If Snoopy is 18 I wouldn't worry about it because from what I understand, they will start developing symptoms between 3-7 years old. I would think if Snoopy had it, you would have known by now for sure! Hallie is PKD+ which means (if I understand right and Teresa can correct me) she is not in full blown kidney disease. Her's was caught because Teresa is so thorough and has her kitties completely checked out. Otherwise, Hallie's might not have been caught for years.

That's right. The kitty is born with this ailment. Hallie is just too stressed living with the other kitties. (we have 17 right now) She has the sweetest temperment once she warms up to you. Jake is a love bug that cuddles all the time. He loves being held, gives hugs, and snuggles. These two get along well and will be great at Tammie's house with her furbabies.

I have many other kitties that are looking for furever homes, all prices are negotiable!

We just sold Stryder today and Tabby went to her new home last week. The ones that are available right now are Sandie, Pinkie, Odin, Thor, Autumn, and Shalomar.

I like Thor and Shalomar! Actually I like them all!

Teresa, Cinnabar is gorgeous. I hope her new home is a great one!

PS: I hope you don't mind that I put your website link in a couple of my threads.

Did you see how Hallie is sitting up like a regal lady? I love how Persian's look like that!

DragonLady, I tried to PM you, but your box is full. Here is the message I wanted to send you.

---------------------------------------------------------------
As you might know I recently lost my Persian Stanley, and it has been very hard on me. I am interested in your cats and/or kittens, and even future cats, which might be a little less expensive.

Is there any way I can call you? I have a cell and I can make free long distance calls during the weekends. Could I call you?

Hope
