Good morning!
And TGIF! It's an especially nice TGIF today because I have a 3-day weekend coming up. I have off work for the Columbus Day holiday. Yay, me!

What is something that you don't like to do, but have to do it anyway?

I hate putting gas into my car. I just hate putting gas into my car. It's a task that I've don't like, never did, and never will. Rick will often take my car when he bowls, just so he can put gas in it for me. I'll run it down to where I have about 6 miles left before I put gas in it and that makes Rick very nervous. (Hannah, the Hyundai, computes how many miles are left in a tank of gas. But Rick worries that it's going to be way off and I'm going to run out of gas someday.)  But I just hate putting gas into my car. And we don't have any full-serve gas stations around here anymore, so if Rick doesn't do it, then I have to.

I don't have to do that. We generally get gas in my car when we go to church on Wednesday nights. Hubby takes care of his trucks as far as putting gas in them. I hate to iron. I decide every time that I am no longer going to let it pile up enough to be an all day job. I have lots of long sleeve dress shirts to iron. And guess what. Before I know it, I am spending all day again at the ironing board. I would rather clean the toilets and wash the shower than iron.:lol3:

Oh, I'm not fond of ironing either. I do it when I have to, but that's not very often anymore. I ironed the tablecloth we used on Sunday for my MIL's birthday dinner. Normally I don't iron them, but I figured I'd better for this.

When I lived at home, my mom made me iron everything. Even the sheets and pillowcases. We had an old soda bottle with a sprinkler cap that I used to sprinkle water onto the clothes. And then I'd have to iron them. It took me hours to get everything done. And it had to be done the right way, too, or I got in trouble.

Ironing? What is that ? :lol3: Seriously, I have an iron and an ironing board that I bought when I got my own house 10 years ago. . .I don't think I have ever used the ironing board :tongue2:. I've used the iron a couple times for crafts, but used it on the coffee table with a towel instead of getting the board out. I don't think I've ever actually ironed CLOTHES with it, LOL.

For me, it's mowing the lawn. I put it off way too long and then it's hard to mow ;). If I did it every week it wouldn't be so bad, but noooo. . . .

Vacuuming.. it's too much work to take it out of the closet.. plug it in, run it several times over the carpet, unplug it , plug it somewhere else to get to the other end of the apartment, repeat.. then put away. It's a daunting task for me.

that and washing dishes.. they usually pile up and I wash at the end of the day.

I hate ironing, too, so I simply don't.
It's the same with using a broom - all our floors get vacuumed.

Getting gas doesn't bother me, but DH usually does it. He uses the car far more than I do. I think the last time I filled the tank was in 2010.

One thing I don't like to do, but must, is empty the dishwasher.

For some reason, I always hated mowing the lawn. Not sure why exactly...I guess I just find it long and hot.

I also hate ever having to take a car to the mechanics, whether just for a simple oil change or something more serious. I always was underestimated every time I went ~_~ whether being talked to like I was a child, or if I gave my opinion on what I thought the problem was, and it turned out to be correct, the credit would go to someone else. Happened more than once too, it is so bloody damn fustrating.

I'm not a natural gearhead whatsoever, but I still don't appreciate being treated like an idiot
and I at least know basics. Now everytime I think about having to go to a shop, I'll either be concerned that I will be treated a certain way or worried that they will try and rip me off. So I get incredibly picky or careful about where I go if I am able to choose ahead of time.

Anyway, haha, that is my vent.....

I hate to make the bed.  DH was in the military and can make the bed beautifully.  When I make the bed, it looks like a person is still under the covers.

I don't mind doing laundry or even folding it, I just hate putting everything away when I'm done. It's kind of weird, considering that putting the clean laundry away is probably the easiest part of the whole operation....
What I really hate is dusting. Bleech.

DH does the gas for me on Sundays after church.  So chivalrous!  And plus on the Nissan (which I used to drive all the time) I always had a hard time getting the gas cap off.  I nearly had to ask a stranger for help before!

I don't do ironing unless it's something like family portraits or a holiday.  And the only time the bed really gets made is if I'm changing the sheets!  Otherwise it's throw the covers up and keep going!

I really dislike doing dishes.  DH helps on the weekends and sometimes on a weekday; but ugh. Matter-o-fact I'm procrastinating on them right now by being here!  The saddest part is we have a dishwasher.  When we were first married our old place didn't have one and one time while DH was deployed I used up every plate and bowl and had to have my soup in a mug and applesauce in a small mixing bowl for dinner....  Then I put on a movie where I could see it and acted like a grown-up and did the dishes...

I also hate mowing the lawn.  With a passion.  Fortunately DH has always taken care of that since we've been married!  One time when he deployed over a summer he paid the neighbor ahead of time to have his grandson mow the yard every week.  Fortunately we had a postage stamp yard so it was cheap and quick.

I hate taking out the garbage. I have even put the bathroom cans in the corner at times so the garbage will lean against the wall and I have a little longer to take it out. I know that's kind of gross and looks bad, but I really can't stand carrying that tiny bag through the kitchen and all the way into the garage.

Dealing with new technology... once I get my head around it there's a great sense of achievement, but until then it's SO frustrating.

The only reason I hate taking out the garbage too is I have to climb a small hill to get to the trash .
