My cat sneezes?

My cat starts sneezing really bad when:
he sniffs the carpet, his paper pallets and also sometimes when he licks himself. He sneezes really bad then I clean his nose and he stops. There are no other syntoms besids the sneezing. Should I worry about this?

Have you used anything new on the carpet? Or any where else, some type of powder.
My thinking is that the powder/spray is getting into the carpet, it gets on his paws, as he is grooming himself it gets into his fur. He sneezes.
Is there any discharge from his nose, and if so, what is the color and consistency? It could also be pollen getting in through windows, depending on where you live (climinate).
Is he acting normally (peeing/pooping/playing/eating)?
PS: what is "paper pallets"?

He is acting just like he normaly does, he eats, pees, poops, playes like always. There is no discharge from him nose. Paper pallets is what he uses in his litter box because he can't accept other kind. I did put some powder under the carpet where he has his litter box, but not on top, could the powder still affect him? Otherways, I can't think about anything different that I am doing.

It's possible the powder could be affecting him; cats have a MUCH better sense of smell than us humans.
Try getting rid of the powder and see how he is.
Though I don't think the sneezing is serious.

Ill try to do so, but that has no way of getting into hes hair. Can the dust on the carpet be doing this? We are going to change it as soon as possible because its old but this only is starting now this days and we lived here for 1 year now. Can he be alergic to something?

Yes he could very well be allergic to something, pollen, something in the carpet.

He could have been around the substance for a long time, it just took time for him to develop an allergy.

You might consider running the situation by your vet since he knows MUCH more than I do.

Im trying to, the vet is going to call today so I can talk with her.

It's probably just an allergy. How old is he? What kind of food does he eat, and how long has he been eating it? A lot of vets will recommend switching a sneezy kitty from whatever they're eating to a limited ingredient food, which will cut down on allergy side-effects. My Sophie has the sneezes a lot, but I don't really worry about it. She has a little sneezing fit, and she's over it. 

He is one and a half. He eats half wet (avoderm, wellness, halo) half dry instinct. He has beedn eating this for months and months now. But I think I found why he was sneezing, we changes the laundry detergen and I think thats what it was. I switched back to all alergy detergent and he didn't sneez anymore. Ill keep an eye on him but since I switched back to the old detergent he hasn't sneez.
