Hi, it's me again, sorry I keep bothering you guys, anyways, It all happened yesterday, I was walking out of work, when I saw a very young kitten standing under a tree, I kneeled down to take a closer look, and I was so surprised to see her running towards me, SHE WASN'T AFRAID! I was totally surprised, for the first time ever I see a cat that young that's not afraid, she played with a bag I was carrying, I thought her mother would be somewhere around, so I moved on, today in the same spot, same time, I went to see if she was around, and out of sudden, SIX KITTENS showed up AND ALL OF THEM RAN TOWARDS ME! THEY WEREN'T AFRAID AT ALL! THAT'S RIGHT, 1 2 3 4 5 6 KITTENS! 3 were tabby orange, 1 Black, 1 Black and white, and another one tabby black/grey I saw earlier, I had no choice but to feed them, I rushed and bought about 0.25 kg cold cut meat and feed it to them, they seemed as if they can't eat so I was like cutting it into small pieces and feeding them one by one, GOD THEY ARE SO TINY! around 4-12 weeks (I am sorry I am so ignorant when it comes to pets), I kept waiting for about half an hour no mom showed up, there was a big cat sleeping around but he/she didn't move when I approached, I think it was a male cat, and I was touching those kittens he didn't move or react or do anything, what the heck could be their story? why they aren't afraid of me? I mean today they were like climbing me to get the meat they didn't even wait for me to cut it, and I could hardly escape from them they were so attached, what should I do? I am afraid if I moved any of them their mother could come back and find them messing, I know that a mother could lay 5 maximum, but 6? I am afraid also of moving them to my place, since there are a hell of feral dogs, I am pretty sure they won't survive, plus there are already the two cats (mother and 8 months kitten) I told you about before, I am totally confused!

It sounds like they are already socialized to humans. I have to wonder if they were abandoned because kittens born to a feral or stray who have not had any interaction with humans would not act this way. If there is no mother around and you cannot keep them, I think the best chance for these kittens is to be trapped and taken to a shelter. Since they are socialized kittens, they have a good chance of being adopted although it does depend on how old they are. Shelters won't take kittens who are very young. Do you know of any rescue or TNR programs in your area who can help you trap them?

Well, thanks for your quick reply, and the strange thing is that, they don't look abandoned, I mean they are a little bit dirty, and they look underweight, trapping? they were climbing me! actually I could hold them in my hand, and it seems ok with them, you know what, I will post some photos tomorrow (if I found them), problem is that in my country, nobody gives a damn for such a thing (third world country, you know, everybody has his own problems), I know it's really weird, they ARE socialized, they do look like ferals, they are very young, and they have different colors, one of them looks younger than the other 5 (the black and white one), I think I will search for a safer spot, till then I will continue feeding them, honestly, this is the WEIRDEST encounter with animals that happened to me during my whole life!

Could they be a neighbor's kittens? Is it possible for you to take them to a vet's at some point to get neutered/spayed? I know that's really difficult in some countries.

But it was on a public garden right under a real state, (that was far away from my house, about 25-30 km), I kept standing there for about 30-45 minutes waiting for anybody to show up, people around us were walking nobody seemed interested! I know it's a dilemma since we don't have rescue shelters or anything like that, even if I tried to have them in my home they will be endangered by feral dogs around me and other feral cats (I am already taking care of two in my garden, one is 7-9 months old, and her mature mother who recently gave birth and moved her 4 weeks old kitten in a room inside my garage, I didn't dare to look at them I just heard their voices, I am giving her complete privacy!)

Some Photos:

Anyway, today I knew the whole story, their mother died, and I was told by some guys that some lady takes care of them and feeds them (she was the one that gave them those Tuna cans, not me),  I think I will leave them in their place, pass by every while and feed them, honestly, I think it might not be safe for them to stay at my home, plus I am a complete ignorant of pets, I am still learning!

What does everyone think? I think she needs to get them to a no-kill shelter --- if she can't take them in or find homes for them. THey do look underweight = and are fast approaching breeding time. THe positivie thing is that most shelters are at least kind of out of "kitten season" and might have room. THey really do look like they need care - and DEFINITELY don't appear feral is she's getting that close. THoughts all?

THEY NEED TO GET SOMEWHERE SAFE AT LEAST UNTIL THEY CAN BE SPAYED! I agree 100% that they need care.. look at all that garbage. It's nice of someone to feed them tuna, but tuna alone isn't a very healthy diet for cats, especially growing kittens, and they're eating it out of sharp cans surrounded by garbage. There's no way that these kittens will NOT find a home - they're loving, socialized and still babies. Even in a cramped shelter (provided it's no-kill) they'll be better off than being surrounded by garbage. It would be a huge task to take on by yourself if you're not used to animals, so please call all the shelters around in your area. A good way to find reputable, safe places is to go to: "www.petfinder.com" and type in your zipcode and select cats, find shelters that are trying to rehome cats and you'll know which ones accept cats. Contact them from there. Please keep us updated, and thank you for having a kind enough heart to worry about their well-being! I'm sure the lady is doing the best she can, but honestly, more can be done and thank goodness they have someone like you to worry about them. So many people simply would ignore them! Thank you again.. and let me know what you end up doing!

Alright, I don't know any shelters, that's the problem, (and I don't think there are any in here) if you know anybody interested in keeping them and lives in Cairo, Egypt, please email me! what I am doing is that I go there almost everyday and feed them, canned tuna, dry meat, milk, the area around my house will NEVER BE SAFE for them that's why I can't bring them home, plus already I am taking care of two other ferals (one recently gave birth to two kittens, she's hiding them) in addition to many feral dogs hanging around, they won't survive!
