Name your cats and tell what it is about each one that makes him/her so special.

Muffin is my grey and white old man. We have had him almost fourteen years. The minute I pick him up, he purrs. He is just a super loving cat.

Mattie is our calico finnicky female. She is my lap cat now that Speedboat is gone. I love the way she hides herself to go to sleep., When she is on the porch she always wants a spread to get under, even on one hundred degree days. :lol3:

Here we go......

BooBoo - Boo is The Man. My sister says he is every inch a manly cat. The way he struts, the way he caterwauls, the way he even looks at you says "I am a Manly Cat!" Boo has the most beautiful yellow eyes and he knows how to use them. He can jive with the best of them. He is a cat onto himself. There will never be another cat like the BooMeister. Never.

Ms. Pepe - BooBoo's litter sister. As a kitten, she was one of the most independent cats we've ever known. No laps, but sometimes she might jump up, just for a moment, just to say "HI!" and then she was gone again. Now, in her old age (she is 18, like her brother), she's become a lap kitty. But she was the one who tore the huge holes in the living room curtains. And she was the one who clawed my speakers. And she was the one who chewed the cord to my mouse. She was the one who was always into some kind of trouble. And we love that girl anyway!

Amber Louise - She used to be a loner; she'd never come around if anybody other than Rick and I were at home. Since we brought the three "kittens" into the house, Amber has come out of her shell quite a bit and has become quite the social kitty. She still has her quirks, but it's OK. We deal. What I really love about Amber is the way she sashays to get close to us. She'll come walking over, sway around us, just barely out of reach, say, "Psyche!" and leave again. It's hilarious. She really likes to do that to me in the bathroom; sometimes, if I'm lucky, I can run my hand the length of her tail as she leaves. When Rick gets dressed in the morning, Amber likes to jump into the catnapper in the bedroom window and sit there. And Rick goes through the motions of getting dressed, Amber will reach out and try to grab at him. She wants attention and she wants it now. She's a hoot. She will be 11 on November 1.

Mollipop - I love Molli because she is Molli. She's my little girl. She has a cry that just moves my heart. When I go to bed, Molli is right there. She kneads into my arm pit, purring the whole time. I even love how her claws will prick through my shirt. sometimes when she kneads. She kneads and kneads and kneads, and her head burrows around. Finally, she'll flop, give a huge sigh and close her eyes. When she puts her paw on my cheek, I just smile. Life is good. Molli is 3.

Tabby - Or Chatty Tabby as the case may be. She still has Pinky, her little pink mousie, although Pinky has definitely seen better days. Tabby will spend hours on the steps to the front door or in the foyer, playing with Pinky, yelling at Pinky, talking to Pinky......when Pinky starts talking back, we'll have a problem! The other night, Tabby was lying on the pink blankie on the kitchen table while Rick and I were having dinner. In she sleep, she gave a big sigh and stretched. As she settled back down, Rick looked at me and said, "I love that girl; I dearly love that girl." I guess that says it all. Tabby just turned 3 this past summer.

Muffin - Mom's cat and now a permanent member of our family. This girl is so laid-back, it's unreal; she takes everything in stride. Nothing bothers her, except for Mollipop, that is. When my butt hits the couch, Muffin's butt hits my lap. I think it's a law or something.
I love how Muffin and Tabby chase each other around the house; I love how their butts squiggle when they're getting ready to leap. Muffin's butt is a little on the big side; she's a big cat, and when she squiggles, it's just hilarious. When she plays with Da Bird, Muffin leaps way up into the air to grab it. Muffin is 3; she's just a few months older than Tabby and a few months younger than Mollipop. (Muffin and Mollipop are still working out the alpha-cat status in the house; I think Mollipop is winning.)

Bootser - One thing I remember about Bootser....when she was still outside, she and I were sitting on the deck one night. A large cat was walking through the back yard, right outside the pool fence, and Bootser tore out after it. He was big, at least twice her size. And she chased him to the next property. She turned around, came back to me and sat down next to me on the deck. She was protecting her property and she was quite proud of herself. Bootser is old now; she turned 20 in July and we don't know how much time she has left. I'll be honest here; she does get to me when she starts screaming so early in the morning. But, in the long run, well, she's old. It happens.

We are a single cat household. I know that's pretty rare on this site (?) but it really has been the best arrangement all around for my family, & thee Queen of her domain, Chelsea. She is a Norwegian Forest Cat, with thick luxurious fur, tufted paws & ears, and big expressive green eyes. Her color of rich sable with tabby markings does not have a trace of white anywhere. And that girl not only THINKS she's all that, she knows it! Always keeps herself clean & fluffy- and a nice perk with this breed- no shedding all over the furniture! Brushing once in awhile doesn't even remove much, either.
Chelsea is attentive to all three of us in the home, tho more likely to vacate a room if my 13 yr old son bursts in, cuz if he grabs her, it is in no way appreciated by this cat! He does not have the "cat person gene" & fails to pet a cat the way a cat loves to be petted. If anything, my son would be more suited for a rough & tumble dog or puppy! But not without a yard- we live in a 2 bedrm apartment and dogs are too much of a headache to take outside on a leash to go to the bathroom, or walk every day. Viva la Kitty! :)
We got Chelsea about a year and a half ago- she is going on 3 now. Still plays & romps around like a kitten tho, & makes mad flying dashes around the kitchen & living room in the mornings when she's feeling her oats (cat food?) & ornery. Overall, Chelsea is a loving, gentle cat, but she still has the attitude of a dignified lady, too. When she isn't acting silly, that is! :D

We're a single-cat family. Mogli is 16 months old, a black domestic short hair with green eyes, and a bit chubby. He's absolutely obsessed with food and will steal every morsel he can, so child-proof locks are a must around here. One of his hobbies is biting milk and cream cartons so the contents run out. He'll grab food right off your plate if you don't watch out,and is wild about bread in particular. He's also a chewer who specializes in tablecloths, but doesn't disdain cardboard boxes, shoes, toilet paper, collars, belts, blankets, glasses, etc..

He's very clever and can get any door or drawer in the house open when he puts his mind to it. He loves to play, especially with tiny fur mice and the lids to contact lens cases. He also adores clicker training and knows "come", "sit", "down", "up", "touch" and "here". He always obeys if there's a click and a treat involved; if there isn't, he might. There's never a dull moment with Mogli around, which we both love. He makes us laugh multiple times a day. He has the greatest personality - nothing fazes him, he's even-tempered and really enjoys hugs. He's not a loud cat, but has become vocal since arriving here seven months ago. You can have real conversations with him. He's very friendly with people and likes dogs, but not other cats.

Mouse is the first male cat I have lived with.  I went to visit him several times before I adopted him at 15 weeks and instantly knew he was the playful, cheeky, inquisitive little boy for me.  He is a play monster when he's in the mood then instantly transforms in to the cuddle monster for the rest of the time. He can't get enough of his belly being rubbed and nuzzled.  He follows me round like a little shadow when we're on our own but is super sociable with pretty much everyone who comes in to the apartment  - which I love.  He is the funniest but most gentle and loving little creature I could hope to share my life with.  And snuggling in to his warm fur is a remedy for just about any dark day or night.  And for anyone who doesn't know,  he is very grey.

I also have a single cat household.

My Chowder is definitely the king of the castle. He's super affectionate and greets me at the door when I get home from a long day at work. When my fiancé isn't home, he never leaves my side so I always have company. He also makes a funny meow when "taking off" and "landing" from jumps.

He's the best cat ever. It helps that he's adorable, too.

Thanks so much! Yes, they are all indoor cats. It gets a little funky sometimes with the seven of them, but overall, we are blessed with how well everybody (except for my M & M girls) really do get along.

We are living with my parents so there are seven, three are mine but they are all seem like mine since I'm home with them lol.

Mama - my parents cat, she always drags washcloths, socks, bras, underwear and anything else she can find into the living room and kitchen while we are sleeping. Sometimes we can here her meowing while she's dragging clothes to their deaths.

Lilly - my parents cat, she's a loner but she's a loving cat once she gets to know you. I like to go just hang out and talk to her.

Sadie - my parents cat that I raised. Sadie is one of the sweetest cats I've ever known. She is attached to me, probably because I was always the one around her and her sister when they came to us. She will find me and then always crawl into my lap or onto whatever I'm working on and just snuggle up against me purring. She loves to be cuddled like a baby and at night she will let me cuddle her like a teddy bear and she'll stay there for hours. She's clumsy and tries to eat anything she can get her paws on. She's the only cat in the house that everybody loves lol.

Rin - my cat but I'm letting her stay with my parents when we move out since her and Sadie are sisters and really bonded. Ah what can I say about Rin? She is hilarious to watch, she hangs from stuff and drags herself across the floor when she's trying to be sneaky. She loves to play with ice cubes and always expects one when she hears us at the freezer, she then carries it to the front room between her teeth lol. She's not very lovey but that's okay as she's a lot of fun to have around.

Moki - my kitty, she is Mama's daughter, Mama was brought in as a pregnant stray. Moki is just a super laid back girl and has a faucet addiction lol. She prefers to drink from the sink which everybody hates but still lets her do since she is so sweet. She is my baby and is really only fond of myself and my mom since she lets her sleep in her lap on a pillow.

Ghost - We took in Ghost like 6 months ago, our vet thinks he's around 12 years old. Ghost is an awesome boy, he loves nothing more to be loved and to sleep next to you. He is super mellow and got along with everyone from the first time he was allowed around the other cats and dogs. He loves to bonk heads with everyone lol. Sometimes he has a snaggle tooth that gives him extra charm. It makes me sad to think about him starving and scared outside like he was. When we first brought him in he wouldn't play with toys but now he has a good time with them.

Hina - We took in Hina like 3 or 4 months ago just like Ghost. She was super skinny and would run if other cats tried to get near her so she wasn't getting enough food unless we kept the other cats away while she'd eat. She was super skittish and would take off if you even coughed. We realized that she was pregnant and I brought her in even though it was frowned upon by other members of the house. She had 6 kittens and was a great mommy. I think we really bonded since I was always around her and helped with the birth. She is turning out to be an amazing little kitty, she is very loving and is starting to play now. She is very quiet and gentle when she walks on us, just a very quiet and soft pawed kitty all around. She hasn't been introduced to the other cats yet so we'll see how that goes.

Ha! Our RB Banshee did that when she was a kitten. One night we had company and we were all sitting in the living room. Banshee came running out of the hallway with one of my bras in her mouth. Just as she got to the center of the living room, she tripped on the bra and went butt over head. It was hilarious and we all laughed at her. But I was a little embarrassed....it was my bra, for cryin' out loud
