My face hurts lol

Saki practically licked my face raw this morning, purring, at about 5am LMAO! I swear I was like ok Saki that's enough!! I still have 2 hours to sleep

I've never had a cat that did this. It's pretty exciting for me but I can see how it might get annoying after awhile LOL.

Yes Sicy it can . One time she licked so bad that I had to put a ointment on my face over night .

I think he actually likes Jim better. He gives him way more power bonks on his goatee and mouth and curls up on his neck at night when we go to bed, and puts his paws in my face LOL!!

my kitty never licks me but always licks my boyfriend.. I don't know why.. he cuddles with me and jumps in my lap which he never does to bf, but bf is the only person he licks

Peaches is the only one that licks me! She doesn't do it excessively though.

Hmmm...I must be neglected at home with my crew. None of them lick me...only bite when I tease them! I know...I'm terrible at times!

One of my coworkers told me that her cat licks her arm while she's sleeping. She said that half the time she doesn't even know she's doing it because she does it so often. She showed me her arm the other day & she's a 2 inch mark that is raw! It looks like she scraped her arm on gravel or something! I told her that was rather strange & maybe she should take her to the Vet, but she said she's always done since she was a kitten.

I wonder if they like the salty taste?

My cats don't lick, either. But I remember when Snoopy was younger he used to slobber when he was really happy and really relaxed. Sometimes he'd sleep on top of me, purring, and I'd get his slobber all over me.

People pay a lot of money to have an exfoliation session... Saki is doing it for you for free.

Shasta was the one for heavy duty licking in the middle of the night. She woke me probably 5 nights out of 7 at about 3 am. It's haaaaaaard to remember with a foggy brain that this little critter is making a positive statement, and not shove her away! Rough as it is on sleep patterns, it IS flattering!

I've actually found it a useful lesson, in later years, when I encounter a snoozing kitty, in the middle of the DAY, that I desperately want to maul with love -- and then I remember how it was to be wakened in the middle of the NIGHT for similar attention! (Doesn't mean I don't offer a little scritch and hello, but when I get the single eye cocked barely open, the penny drops!)

These stories are so funny! Max is the only one who licks me and he has his favorite spots. In order, they are: My lips - he's addicted to them or something. When I pull away he grabs me with his paws and tries to pull my face forward. Too cute! Second: My eyelids - this is *really* painful so I usually have to close them really tight. He also licks my general face area but not as much as those two spots.
