Any advice would be appreciated.

Sam is 12 weeks old, I have had him and the other 5 in his litter since they were 3 weeks old. They were all feral so they were check out immediately, treated for worms, and then bottle fed till they were about 6 weeks old. At 7-8 weeks old I noticed one kitten (Sam) was looking too skinny so I took him in for a fecal, blood work, and combo test. Blood work was fine, combo test came back negative and fecal showed only Giardia. He (and the rest of the litter) were treated with Panacur for 5 days and he started to put on weight and look a little better.

About a week later, they all showed signs of Calicivirus, which has been rampant around here this kitten season. They all had "limping kitten syndrome" and fever but with only very mild, almost nonexistent URI symptoms. They were all put on Amox by the vet for several weeks. All symptoms went away in the whole litter EXCEPT Sam. He still seemed a little "down" but with no real symptoms.

Yesterday afternoon I picked him up to give him his dose of Amox and noticed he seemed VERY hot. I took his temp quickly and got 105.2. I had to rush him to the vet, but because it was 6pm, my vet was closed and the emergency vet was not yet open, so I found another local vet open till 7pm. They agreed to see him so I rushed him in. They took his temp and it was 107!! They did a fecal and saw that he has COCCIDIA which shocked me because I have not had a kitten with Coccidia this year and no one new has come into my home in almost a month now (Sep 4th.) The vet gave him an injection of Ketofin (I have never heard of this) and sent us home with Albon. They would not give me Marquis, but I am going to get it from my vet today. They said the fever was probably him fighting off something viral and the Coccidia was making it worse for him. He has had ZERO loose stools or other signs of Coccidia but I went back and looked at it through the microscope on the slide myself- Coccidia for sure!

Anyways. Now we have been home for about 8 hours and he has eaten a little, but mostly just sleeps. he is still hot, but I have not taken his temp because it's pretty traumatic for him and I want him to relax. He does get up and walk around, he climbs up my to my shoulder and will sleep there for a bit, etc. ALSO I have another issue, which is that the 5 litter mates PLUS another 7 kittens were around Sam in the last week or two. So, I am thinking I need to treat everyone with Marquis and maybe Albon? I'm going to talk to my vet about it today.

Sorry to hear about Sam being so sick. Yes, if he was around the other kittens (12 of them, not including Sam?) they will probably need to be treated. Only your vet knows for sure. (Get the reference?).

You are an
for taking care of all the little ones.
