Happy Hump Day, friends!

Today's question is about email. Do you send a lot of it? Is there anything about email that annoys you?

I send a LOT of email, especially with my job - we all work from home and communicate almost exclusively by email. I used to work with a guy who had bad email manners... he would do things like suddenly copy in an additional person to a discussion without telling anyone. Even though all discussions were strictly business, I found this to be in bad form, it felt kind of like someone was eavesdropping. I learned to check the address at the top for every single email from him - it's good to know your audience. When I add in a person, I always make a point to mention that fact to everyone at the beginning of my email, seems just like common sense.

I send tons of emails every day, because at work it is how we communicate with our customers. We have to get everything in writing, and they send us our trucking orders over emails.

Personal emails, I dont send very often. My dad is about the only person who actually emails me, a couple times a week or so.

I only use two ways to communicate, one is the phone and the other is e-mail when I cannot actually meet up with the person. I wouldn't say I send a load of e-mails out a day but a few.  I forward a lot of jokes and video's that I receive if they are really funny, I do however always delete the name of the person who sent it to me.

Sometimes I get e-mails from people and there a slew of other people's e-mails including mine and that gets me peeved.  I don't want my e-mail all over the internet.  I did tell a few people about that, I think it's very inconsiderate to do this.

I do at work because of all the engineers, surveyors, etc. who bring in plans. And people who have questions about their properties. My work email addy is available online, so people have a way to contact me when necessary. A lot of people prefer to email than use the phone these days.

At home, not so much anymore, only to a few really close friends and relatives. I forward nothing and I never participate in chain letters and such. I tend to just pick up the phone and call people if I want to talk to them.

As Carol mentioned, it's frustrating to be on somebody's Forward list and receive an email with everybody's addresses there.

I don't know how I ever survived before email!
I use it for everything--business, personal.  I'm happy my 83 year old mom is good with email, I use it to keep in touch with her every day.  My sisters, too.

The thing that annoys me is when somebody forwards something that has 10,000 other email addresses on it--though most people are getting aware of removing other folks' email addresses before they forward.

There are a couple of PITA emailers I know who expect instant answers to their emails because they figure I'm getting their oh-so-important communique immediately, and they get all worked up if you don't answer within five seconds, you know the type!  LOL

But other than that, I Iove email.

I don't do a lot of e-mail. I have very aggressive filtering on my e-mail and anyone that sends me a CC e-mail gets added to the spam reject list. My ISP also has a good spam filter.

I do use email for trivial stuff. I don't read a lot of things and forward internet stuff to all my friends by email. Also, I don't conduct any business by email. If I have something important to discuss, I want to do it face to face if possible, if not, then by phone. Please not by email or text.
