I have a 7 month on maine coon kitten who is growing VERY quickly and is absolutely crazy. I need to get a cat tree for her, as she is an inside only cat and is full of energy. Any suggestions on a tree that will be big enough?

The first thing to look for is a tree with a large base for stability. I prefer the kind with posts under three or four corners of each shelf rather than a central post, again for stability. I have one made by Armakat and one custom made that I bought from a vendor at a cat show. They've both held up well under 7 cats for 3-5 years.

I second Armarkat products! My cats range in size of 8 to 18 lbs and my Armarkat tree is still going strong after 1.5 yrs. It's the 74" classic tree. With the rescue, we have ordered 4 different models and have been very happy. I also like Kitty Mansions trees. I have not been very impressed with Go Pet Club; however, after seeing a pic of a member's tree on this site, I have decided to try them again with one of their newer products...will let you know how it goes.

I order all our trees from Wayfair.com. This is the cheapest place I have found. The tree is shipped right to your door (you do have to assemble) and 90% are with free shipping!

I personally prefer the faux fur over the Sherpa designs (easier to clean/vacuum and seems to last longer in my house.) I stay away from carpet as it just does not hold up well and I have several who will eat it when it shreds.

There is a maine coon website. They have suggestions for trees that are good for that breed.

My stupid phone won't let me copy the website. But just google "maine coon tree" and you'll find it. It's something like maine coon nation.

Thank you! Shes only 7 months old and over 10 pounds so I need something big enough. I have 2 kitties too, one is much smaller though so I need plenty of room on it.
