On sept 4th we went to the shelter to drop off gerbil shavings. Dave and I decided to go look at the kittens not really intending on adopting at this moment. We went into the kitten room where I found Ella. She jumped into my ams was rubbing up against my face purring and kneeding me. So I told Dave I really wanted this kitten I was meant to have her. So he hesitated and hesitated then told me to go back into the room so he could see our interaction. Finally he said ok we can get her. I was so excited I had to fill out the paper work and they had to see if she was spayed. I thought I dont wanna leave her here I want to take her home today. So the manager came back and said she is good to go. Her original name was Amidala and I didnt like it at all so I thought for a few days of a name finally after 5 names lol we decided to call our new little baby Ella. We got her home and she was so playful running up and down me at nite cuddling beside me on the couch when I said bed time. She never let me out of her sight. Sadie and Ella took a while to get along but finally they took to eachother. We had Ella for 2 weeks and everything was normal a week later she went down hill. she was so Lathergic so we took her to the vet. He checked her temperature which was 105 whixh is way too high for a kitten he told us she has a infectious virus either FIP or peneleukopenia if she has FIP she will die if she has the other she will live so we got blood tests taken and were told to be optimistic so I was. We were given clavamox for her fever to keep it down we gave it to her every 12 hrs. They tested her for feline leukemia and feline aids and anemia so we went back to the vet to get the results they both came back negative although we found out she has nonregenerative anemia which means her body isnt producing blood what she has in her body is all there is then she will die so then the vet told us we need to check for FIP so we ordered that test. We were told the results would be in in 3 days so two days later I called the vet and asked if Ellas results were in and she said yes the dr wants to see you. So we go in that nite and find out she has FIP my heart sank I thought she cant she is only 7 months old. So Last nite I gave her her meds and cuddled her most of the day and told her she will soon be with God and mommy loves her alot. This morning we took her back to the shelter to get them to euthenize her that was the hardet day in my life I couldnt help but think she is going to be alone cause they had to quarantine her so the other cats dont get infected. She will be put down either today or tomm.

Oh, no, that's so tragic. At least she got to spend her last two weeks in a loving home, rather than at the shelter. RIP, little Ella.

I'm so sorry, that's so sad :( Jcat is right, I hope you can find some comfort in thinking that, even if her time on Earth was short, thanks to you, she has known the warmth of a loving home. Sadly, so many fur babies never get to know that... God bless her little soul!

I'm so sorry for you, that you have to lose such a beautiful furbaby at such a young age. I think she picked you because she knew you would love her and do what was right. I'm so happy for her, that she knew your love. My heart breaks that she didn't have longer. RIP beautiful Ella, wait for your family at the Rainbow Bridge!
