We took in a stray about two weeks ago and shortly after we figured out she was pregnant. She shared a box with the kitty we have but we bought two more to make sure there'd be no accidents. She was using all of them well for about a week and a half but now she has been peeing in the boxes or in her nesting box and pooping in the floor. Please someone help me figure out a solution I don't want to have to put her outside or take her to animal shelter but this isn't my house and I can't have her pooping all through someone else's house

Has anything else changed, which may have caused her to change her behavior?

if so, a Feliway diffuser may be of some help.

If not, it may quite probably be something medically, and I would recommend a visit to your vet with her.

I mean, it isnt so she doesnt know how to behave, as she normally behaves perfectly - something has changed. What??

Till you have a solution, you can have her in just one room.  If nothing else, only one room will be pooped down.

Or if necessary, have her in a big dog cage.  -  Perhaps taking her on walks on a leash for streching her legs some and exercise, outside.

Also, there are modern enzymatic cleaning sprays.  Works like a charm, you arent any longer limited to soap and some winegar-acid solution.

Tx for caring and helping this girl, one of our little sisters!

Good luck!

I can't think if anything changing other than her being more pregnant I can't afford another vet visit right now since we took her about a week ago when we figured out she was expecting. I am keeping her confined to one room. Do you think she just doesn't like the boxes anymore? I read that cats can change their mind.. Or maybe because she's all jacked up cuz her hormones? I'm gonna try one of the diffusers and get a bigger box to see if that makes her more comfortable.. We have a reaaalllyyyyy big dog kennel I could keep her in but I really don't wanna lock her in there :( I really hope she isn't sick..

Its simply because the babies are getting bigger! I had this problem. It means she is getting close to giving birth within a week or two. The babies are just pushing on her belly and causing her to have less control over her muscles. It should stop very shortly after she has her kittens.
